Requesting assistance, fellow 460 owners...
Was under my truck today taking pictures of something and noticed this wire sticking out of the passenger side frame rail. Tried tracing it to no avail... thinking maybe it's a frame ground?
@JDUB fab took a look at his 460 but didn't see...
Swapped out the traditional metal winch hook for a Factor 55 Prolink. Super easy process, took less than 5 minutes (once the snap ring tool I had to order arrived).
Before:
Step 1: Remove the cotter pin from the metal hook, extract the pin, and remove the hook from the winch line
Step 2...
Not a problem, glad I could help. You could certainly use the JW as a long-term solution with some basic reinforcement within the tailgate and on the hinges; wouldn't be too difficult at all, or at least I don't think it would. Of course, if you want the "most stock" solution then you can always...
I spent a week with a Firecracker Red 2024 392. Loved every second of it. Damn thing rode better than my lifted GX, albeit the 460 was on E-rated tires at the time. Again, if money and reliability weren't factors, I'd own a 392.
Sounds like the one you want to date but not marry. Too bad, I absolutely love those things and would own one if I could afford one (as a second vehicle).

Long story short, it's...
That's a solid plan. The only vehicle I plan to add anytime in the even remotely distant future is a fun/weekend car. But that'll be cash, and determined by when there is sufficient cash to do so. Current prospect: When I'm 40...
Wild. And how many trucks have you been through since then? Haha
Nissan has had some absolutely iconic vehicles in its lineage. But how'd that 944 do with a car seat? Also, Previas are rad! AWD, manual, mid-engine minivan. Super cool.
You're probably not the only Nissan-turned-Toyota family. The death of the XTerra inevitably meant people ended up 4Runners, Wranglers, etc. They were solid trucks but not the big-mile reliability workhorses that the comparable Toyotas are. Crazy that the XTerra went out of production almost 10...
