I really like these tires so far. I experienced decreased road noise, but I believe that's going from a recommended 42psi with my KO2s to a recommended 37psi. Both tires are E load rated, but I also moved from an 18" wheel to 17" wheel. More cushion for the pushin' with the extra sidewall...
I have one of the 180 degree models - the previous generation of the one I'll link below. I also have the 140 degree model in my other car.
They are good, simple devices. Doesn't take much power. You can use one of those all-in-one fuse box piggy back kits to run USB power up to your mounting...
My 34" Toyo Open Country AT3s are doing fantastic. Except when my wife drives, as shown in the wheeling damage thread. Ice doesn't care about your non-studded tires. Snow on the other hand, or going up and down my driveway, is no problem.
This is not technically wheeling damage.
Here's my wife's first experience driving on ice. Born and raised in San Francisco and it shows.
My @TRAIL TAILOR front bumper + bull bar just paid for itself. Everything after this I'm making money.
In case you ever wondered if you could drive...
Some time in the next 5 years I'll convert my 2008 to the Australian parts which move the HVAC controls out of the head unit. Then I'll just buy whatever double DIN head unit I want and not have to worry about that particular failure.
I had to replace my fan clutch at about 150k miles. Talk about a nasty squeal when that thing starts binding up. I don't think that is your issue, but it's definitely something that can (will?) happen eventually.
I hope so. By my calculations if I get 32 months out of a set of Hikaris at $54/pair, I can expect, what, 147 months of service for the price of the ARB LEDs? I'll take it.
I have been considering taking mine off, as it looks strange with the bull bar. It's for a 2008 - is there a different model number for the 2016+ LCs? It's in pretty reasonable shape, but may be difficult to ship.
I've ordered a WG3526 router and I'm in the process of trying to procure a EM-12G which will do 3x carrier aggregation. I'm trying to figure out if I can buy a 4x4 MIMO antenna and use it in 2x2 mode for now, until the EM160 hits the market. My local ATT tower will do channel 66 x 3, or a...
In my case, I live in the county and nobody services this location. I'm using these routers and SIM cards for my home internet. I have a family of 5 who are leaning towards power users. I work full time remote as a software developer. Right now I'm getting 40-60 down and 10-30 up. I intend to...
The ATT plan I have is through a site called "unlimitedville". It's not something that ATT offers. There's a facebook group, and a less-active forum called LTE HACKS (lethacks dot com) that has a lot of info for building your own setup. I am in the process of gathering equipment and I'll go more...
Hey @Dangcat I noticed that with my Visible sim I was able to increase my upstream from a hard capped 5mbit when I changed the TTL to 64 (from 65). Try both, maybe?
Increased latency is certainly built into the Visible stuff. I believe what I need is a 4x4 MIMO setup. I'm looking hard at the...
I recently fled California and landed in rural Arkansas. I'm using a 4g LTE connection from unlimitedville which runs $200/mo. So far it's been pretty good. It's not gigabit, but it's 40-60 mbit down, 10-40 mbit up. I'm able to work exactly as I was before, but instead of downloading at 35 MB/s...
You can't get it on the roof?! There's this product to help with that. Thule Hullavator Pro
Maybe you have some physical limitation, no offense, but I'd be pretty pissed at myself if I couldn't get something like a kayak up on my roof. Hit the exercise bands!
