I bought a couple of these ($10 or less each)
25 - 50 PSI 1/4" MNPT Air Compressor Pressure Adjustable Relief Pop Off Valve
They're adjustable. The ones I have are from 25-50 psi.
I have two (set at different pressures) and I build a quick connect T that is in-line to the air hose to the...
Agreed. But you can't stop people from doing questionable things. I only refill refillable canisters, which are more expensive but the break even point is only 5 refills.
California is definitely banning the 1 lb propane canisters because they're not recycleble. I have also heard that many national parks will no longer sell them in their stores. In my opinion they are expensive and a huge waste of resources. A 1 lb canister costs about $6 at walmart; compare...
Depends if weight is an issue
weight is not a concern: well-seasoned cast iron.
lighter is better: well-seasoned carbon steel.
backpacking: skip the cookware, eat dehydrated food in its bag
ultralight: skip the cookware and stove, eat granola and nuts, or cold soak
UHF signals by its nature will be largely line of sight and limited by terrain such as hills and trees in between receiver and transmitter. You might get 20 km sometimes but for reliable comm you'll need a repeater.
Carry less stuff is the secret. I just re-use mostly my backpacking equipment. I don't use my backpacking tent (takes too long to set up).
My camp setup and breakdown is about 15-30 minutes. I have a pop-up tent that I bought from frontrunner for $100. I unroll and throw in my 2" air...
But make sure you have the proper "float" charger. Some of the cheap trickle chargers are out-of-spec for float and charge at 14.4 volts which will definitely damage your battery after a long time. The proper float voltage is 13.4-13.8.
My GX will draw down my Odyssey after about a month or so when parked. Since it's not my DD I, like @spressomon float-charged the battery whenever the GX's parked. Battery is fine after four years. I only put maybe 4000 miles on the GX per year, and in the last two years, almost 0.
Gaia is good for a variety of activities, in particular, trail running, hiking and especially mountain biking, as well as motorized activities. For example, it has difficulty ratings for moutain biking trails. Does OnX offer that? Just wondering as I tend do more of those three activites than...
Gaia's legacy lifetime membership was phased out in 2017. Gaia now offers only premium membership ($35.99/month if you buy if from the website). I have the lifetime membership, and found it useful for my purposes, despite not having full access to all of Gaia's map layers. I supplement Gaia...
Good information. So from your post and the Dakota Lithium website
Dakota's BMS does indeed block charging at temperatures below 0C.
Still if the battery can start the engine, the engine compartment will warm above freezing except in the most extreme conditions, thus enabling charging.
Maybe...
Does anybody have real-world experience with lithium starter batteries? There seems to be two common brands: Anit-Gravity and Dakota Lithium. They cost 2x more than a good AGM, and in the case of the Dakota, an 11 year warranty. At half the weight of a lead acid, they are easy to remove from...
The news report I read say street-legal vehicles and campers will still be allowed between Grand and Pier Avenue. So Surf&Turf 2022 can still happen?
Also it wasn't clear whether street legal vehicles would still be allowed in the area once used by OHVs?
Those leather cup lasts almost indefinitely If it's isn't holding a seal. Just put a little bit of oil on it. Vegetable oil works and even spit will work!
👍 It's alwasy better if you test scenario is as close as possible to the real-life situation. Although this test isn't real good for you battery but just once isn't going to be that bad.
