So I think the Michelin Defender is the perfect all-terrain tire... (For most of us)

Something no one has mentioned yet is the lack of a rim protector on the Defender LTX M/S2. Are rim protectors just a gimmick? I am currently running the Continental TerrainContact AT's on my 07 F350 DRW and it is time for a new set. I got over almost 60k out of the front tires before I swapped...

Expedition Dirt Sunrise - Tim and Kelsey Get Lost...

My '06 LC had it. A couple of height sensors failed and I had to drive it home at full height. It was like a SoCal high rider and very bumpy! Replaced the sensor and never had a problem after that. I need to study up on KDSS because it sounds really cool!

Expedition Dirt Sunrise - Tim and Kelsey Get Lost...

Imagine that. Tim got an LC. Who could have seen this coming? Just about everybody! Congratulations Tim on moving up into a 200 series. I love the sound of that 5.7L, especially with the Toyota off-road exhaust. I loved the 4.7L in my 2006 but not the timing belt! I miss my 100 series but not...

    7th Annual 100s in the Hills *July 26-30 2017* Silverton·CO·USA·EARTH

I hate driving through Kansas. Very dull and very hot when we came through there. My AC wasn't working very well and would shut off on my F350 at the worst times. My outside temperature gauge reported 100F at one point. We had to roll the windows down one time when the AC cut off. Found out on...

    7th Annual 100s in the Hills *July 26-30 2017* Silverton·CO·USA·EARTH

Well, since I did not register in time to get a position at HIH7, I decided to take a trip to Colorado from July 7-14 and check out everything before you guys got there. We drove the Million Dollar Highway from Ouray to Silverton, which was beautiful. We visited Leadville, Glenwood Springs...

    P0420 and P0430 - 2006 LC

The cat efficiency test runs on a 2 drive cycle schedule. In other words, every other time the car is driven. Just so you know.

Scored 2006 LC w/194K AHC (untouched Jewell restoration)

So, we are back to the fuel pressure issue. Seems easy enough to replace it but if testing is fine, then why should it be replaced? I'm not convinced yet on this one. I know your experience proves otherwise but it seems like there should be a code set if the fuel pump is weak or the PR is weak...

Can't decide what tires to get

I don't see that size on Goodyear's website in a Load Range C. They list that size as a Load Range E.

Can't decide what tires to get

What size Duratracs were you running? Were they P or LT? I run 6 Duratracs on my F350 and love them. They are a little noisy but they are the best tire I have ever had. I also haul a 3,800 lb camper in the bed and take it off-road when I can. The Duratracs really set the bar for me. I was...

Can't decide what tires to get

The BFG KO2 does come in a 285/60 and I have considered buying it. It is listed as 31.4" in diameter so it is real close to factory. However, it is a "D" rated tire which isn't bad depending on how you intend to use them. Tirerack.com has them listed with a discount at $214/ea plus shipping...

    P0420 and P0430 - 2006 LC

So, let me get this straight. You start out by posting that they sent you the wrong part number and now you are convinced it is the right part number? You don't have to convince me of anything. Put whatever you want in your LC but be sure to post back the results when you are done.

    P0420 and P0430 - 2006 LC

I don't see how. My A/F sensor did not look like that from Denso. Install at your own risk. What year is your LC? That looks like something for a six cylinder. The Alibaba link says it is for 2006-2007 Tundra or Toyota.

    P0420 and P0430 - 2006 LC

If I were you, I would not attempt to put those in. They look nothing like what they are supposed to and you would most likely have to remove them again and put the correct ones in. It actually looks like a Walker part number. It matters a great deal which ones go in there. If yours is a 2007...

The Rust Cruiser Spare Tire Winch Replacement

My middle skid plate/splash guard is sitting in my garage now because I took it off to replace the AFR sensors and broke 2 bolts off trying to put it back on. The PO removed the front splash guard and it is completely missing with at least 3 broken bolts that will have to be drilled out to...

    7th Annual 100s in the Hills *July 26-30 2017* Silverton·CO·USA·EARTH

I already have scheduled time off for July 7-14 and July 26 - August 1st. I am on the waitlist now and if I get a spot, I'll take The 26th through The 1st off. If not, I'll take the 7th through the 14th off. I plan to run some easy trails from Well's book but it would be great to run some...

The Rust Cruiser Spare Tire Winch Replacement

The new winch installed: I did not make any changes to get more clearance for the spare but I can see how it might be done. I mainly wanted to get the spare out so I can get 5 new tires mounted. I also noticed that this is the original spare and that flat spots had been rubbed on the tire...

The Rust Cruiser Spare Tire Winch Replacement

The bolts on top of the spare tire winch were difficult to remove without being able to see them. The key was to use a 6 point 12 mm wrench. I started out with a 12 point wrench but couldn't get a grip with it. The 6 point wrench did the trick and I was able to get them all out without breaking...
