Definitely check for closures. West side road along Badwater was closed as was Soda lake. All the water back there recently changed our routes. Surprised that none of the trails were washed out. YMMV. Otherwise it’s perfect runnings now.
Another Death Valley adventure in the books.
Mengal Pass. Baker Ranch. Lake Manly. Traveller monument/Soda Lake closed. Kelso Dunes.
The trails were damp, and not super dusty which was great. Lots of desert bloom.
Rig ran great. Clicked off the 230k on the Odo. No AC the whole...
Another year, another leak!
1. Sunroof, yup that leaks. Taped it closed from the outside. ($&@& sunroofs)
2. DS passenger door gasket, yep that also leaks. Added some additional sticky backed neoprene around the door frame to divert water. Ordered new gaskets.
3. Rear cargo door gasket...
100% epic trip to a lake in the Tahoe National Forest. Canoe’d to and camped on a tiny island by ourselves. Some wild weather, sun and epic memories.
Getting tired of lots of play in the steering wheel though!
Thanks. I thought it could be that simple.
In this case though, I think my low voltage triggers are coming from the slee harness connectors g (low beams) and h (hi beams).
This is the main slee harness.
This is the aux slee harness. Basically need to replicate connector A on the new...
Question. I’m upgrading my old halogen halogen driving lights with new LED lights Hella Value fit 500 - worst name ever, but impressed with build quality so far. .
The new Hellas have a 3 position switch. Driving lights on, DTR lights on and Off.
I currently have 2 SOF aux harnesses. One...
Welp. Better than nothing.
I figure this will add 60-120 seconds of PITA protection for the next methhead that wants to steal my cat. Its rats nest. 8 independent cables to cut. 2-3 decoy cables that are just in the way. And a few mangy ends to draw blood.
This is so dumb.
What if….
You wrapped the cats, the pipe etc, up like a mummy in fiberglass cloth. Maybe layer in some stainless aircraft cable for extra cut resistance. I’m not suggesting coating the cloth with resin, but leaving it raw.
A sawzall will probably shread the cloth, but not cut it. Might try...
Lol. I was thinking about welding a steel tube filled with roofing tar. And positioning in such a way that you have to cut through that too.
All the better if it is molten hot when they cut through it.
Or. Airbags. And just slam it to the hard deck when you park.
$3900 out the door for Catastrophic Converter replacement surgery.
Fortunately, we have $100 comp deductible.
Still looking for a viable solution to prevent it from happening again, and again, and again.
This shop won’t add any preventative devices anymore because everything they’ve tried...
