Rough Ride After OME Lift Kit

Did you do final torque with the suspension at full droop or at ride height?

GX460 ECM Remapping for Regular Gas?

I only used premium on my GX470 when towing or when I knew I would burn most of it on the interstate loaded heavy. I had the GX470 for 120k miles (120k-240k) with zero fuel related issues. I am doing the same thing with the GX460. What I should do is datalog the LTFT of both 87 and 91 octane to...

Anyone get a Performance Tune on their 460?

Cruise control performance one thing I think would be nice about a tune vs a throttle controller, as a throttle controller does nothing when the cruise is on.

Help from Wisconsin. (before I trade my 23' GX 460 for a LC 250)

Plenty of places to offroad in WI. Like I said call Max-bilt in eau claire. They have a group that goes out fairly often. There is Apple Valley Farms in the Bloomer area as well.

Help from Wisconsin. (before I trade my 23' GX 460 for a LC 250)

Max-Bilt in Eau Claire works on 4x4's. There is enough info on the internet regarding GX lifts that I am pretty sure my wife could figure it out.

Any tips on reaching the oil filter?

Sounds like the designer DV8'ed from logical thinking and took the easy and cheap way out. I design for a living, and find there are a lot of designers that need a lot more hands on experience and a lot less screen time.

Any tips on reaching the oil filter?

If removing a few fasteners is too difficult then maybe you should take it somewhere? ;)

    Possible First 460 (2022) . . . Couple Questions / Thoughts

If you can stomach the fuel economy the GX is a great overall vehicle and an amazing road trip machine. It isn't the best to drive at interstate speeds on windy days though, it does get blown around a bit and requires a bit more input then some may be comfortable with. It's got enough power to...

Wiper change (yes, I feel dumb)

Umm rain-x is a product that reduces surface tension which results in water beading up and sliding off glass. Those products are for cleaning glass. While I 100% agree that Invisible Glass in aerosol form is great, it isn't meant for repelling water.

    OEM Wiper blade part numbers

Just go with the newer ones...typically Lexus doesn't change a part due to cost cutting, its due to improvements. Then do a rain x treatment and get the rain x washer fluid and you will be golden. My last rain-x treatments have lasted a year and are still going strong.

    OEM Wiper blade part numbers

The problem is Lexus has L branded wiper blade assy's that you can't replace the inserts on, I know Bell Lexus has it detailed on their wiper insert ebay listing. I was fooled into thinking the wipers that came on our "new to us" lexus could have the inserts replaced because they had the Lexus...

Wiper change (yes, I feel dumb)

Not sure if you use rain-x or other glass treatments at all, but I use rain-x and the rain-x washer fluid. The washer fluid really extends the life of the rain-x on the windshield. Prep is key for Rain-X, use a DA with a cutting pad and heavy compound, then clean well with IPA. Two coats of...

Wiper change (yes, I feel dumb)

I've had good luck with OEM Lexus/Toyota wiper blade replacements. The blade itself is replaceable and is much cheaper then buying a whole new arm. Years ago consumer reports listed Toyota wipers among the best performers on the market.

    gx 460 market coming down

In a typical market one might assume that a redesign of a model would drive down prices of leftover units, but being as the redesign is very new tech for Lexus idk what that does for buyer confidence. Join the Lexus owners website, and when you find vehicles you like you can enter the vin and...

    Front rotors

As another poster mentioned rotors typically don't warp, but instead they become thicker in places due to excessive brake pad material deposits. Try performing a typical brake pad bed in procedure (for or five 60-5mph runs braking as hard as you can w/o locking up the brakes, then driving for a...

Crash tests performed on final model year

Pretty cool to see the graphic w/ all the air bags inflated. I dd a 2009 Honda Fit and have planned for our son/daughter to use as their first car in 3 years, but the lack of mass and physical size have always been a concern.

LX to GX - First Time GX Owner

Lot's of people run vehicles w/o any maintenance and then trade them in when they start to have issues. My guess is you should baseline all fluids, etc. Autoparts stores will rent coolant system pressure testers as well. That might help you determine if there is a leak, and from where.

    Can I tow this?

Where does he mention it being loaded with cargo? Having done a fair amount of research when buying our camper, I'm fairly confident that 4660l weight is dry weight. I assume the 5850lbs is w/o the camper attached. So back to a typically loaded camper easily having 800-1000lbs of cargo, lets go...

    Can I tow this?

Not trying to pick your answer apart hear or go too far off the deep end, but honestly the limitation of the vast majority of 1/2 ton vehicles isn't the towing capacity, it's the payload capacity and the rear axle weight limit. While that trailer dry is 4660lbs, it can easily climb well above...

    Reliability of GX460

Before you get too carried away have her drive a GX first. Going from a unibody SUV to BOF isn't everyone's cup of tea. If she doesn't like the way the GX drivers then put her in a Highlander.
