Looking for an 80 series hood near Greensboro NC. Color and paint condition not important, just no damage or rust. I’ve check car-part, nothing too close. Hoping someone has one nearby.
Actually, its not out of the VSV for PAIR solenoid. It looks like it in the picture but that is already hooked up (black hose coming off of it right at the top of the yellow circle and 2 blue silicone lines coming off the other end). The port I have circled is actually a metal port that goes...
So I removed the plenum to change the VSV on my truck and replace the vacuum lines. Need some assitance as to what goes on the metal port circled in yellow in the picture below. The green circle is the vacuum line from EGR so it is supposed to be unhooked at the moment. Any help is appreciated.
Dont get ebay injectors. Get the GB re manufactured injectors off rockauto.com for under $30 each. I have had great success with these. They are OEM injectors rebuilt in the USA.
The top part was probably to rusty to use. I have a good, rust free upper hatch in Asheboro, NC. Dark blue, fair paint but does have the three holes where a wing was mounted at some point.
I got the passenger seat of that truck after a Sharpie leaked all over mine along with headlights, side marker lights and grille. Interior was in good shape. Like Matthew Spencer said, body and undercarriage have rust, Boone and Appalachian Ski Mountain stickers all over it. Wrecked on rear...
white, lifted 80 series in Asheboro on N. Fayetteville St on Tuesday. Appeared to be a 93 or 94. I could the OME steering stabilizer in my rear view but unable to take a picture.
The issue was in the driver side rear door wiring to the speaker. Who ever installed the after market speakers pinched one of the speaker wires and it was starting to rub through the insulation and shorting out. Thanks for all the responses.
Factory amp has already been bypassed/removed. All door speakers are after market. I removed the front two as soon as I posted this thread and they both were fine, no issues with terminals touching or anything. I am going to do the rears this afternoon. Thanks for quick replies.
On my 94 LC, the sound will randomly cut out on my stereo. It has an aftermarket radio and has since I got it. I figured it was the radio going bad (it was an older style Kenwood with no AUX), so I bought a new radio w/ AUX hookup and installed it (along with a new harness). Still doing the...
I spotted that burgundy 80 headed west in Greensboro about 3 weeks ago on a trailer behind a yukon denali XL. I was in my burgundy 80 as well and gave him a thumbs up.
I just had a similar issue with my 94. Finally tracked down the problem to one of the curved metal vacuum lines coming out of the throttle body. I took the throttle body off to clean it (although this is not necessary to unclog line but I didn't know what the problem was before I took it off)...
Yes, you need the codes read. Not likely that injectors are the cause, because it wouldnt all of a sudden just start running fine again after 15 minutes. Check TPS, MAF and other sensors that control fuel delivery. Hopefully reading your code can point you in the right direction. Can also be...
In your first video it sounds like it is low on compression. Do a compression test. This would be a good thing to do anyway on a car that you just purchased with little to no maintenance history. Easy to do test and could tell a lot. Also, check coolant temperature sensor. If it is getting...
I have seen this truck in person. It is nice and worth the money. I tried buying it at auction against the guy who has it for sale now. Very nice truck.
