Don't get me wrong, there is a BIG difference between Denso part inside a Toyota box and a Denso part in a Denso box. I have experienced enough that I can see why toyota parts are expensive.
"I tell them my offer has now gone down $500 based on them wasting my time this morning" way to go.. I do it too!
Saw a 200, 2011 with 204K miles for 20K. Seems it has service history and white exterior. Will check with the seller and see how the underside is.
I saw on one of the 4x4 videos on youtube (4WDAction) One of them rip the alumnum knuckle (the eye) holding the outer tie-rod on a 200 while just cruising on a sandy road (10-15 kmpH) and barely hitting the outside edge of the wheel with a root. Quality is a question now.
^ If you do Math, 17 years on a shelf. We are in 2024 that's 24 years from 2000: it has done 130K miles for the 7 years, which comes to 18500 miles a year : 1541 miles a month.
Use a volt meter and check the voltage at the battery. See whether that is shown on the volt meter in the cluster (ignition on). All happened after the battery replacement so something to do with the battery or the connections.
Welcome to the Forum! Make sure the heater "T"'s (located next to the brake master pump by the fire wall) have been replaced, if not, it is th priority number-1. IF the top radiator tank is brown and have hair-line like small crack) it also needs to be replaced!
I do come to Canyon lake once in...
Toyota batteries are made in Mexico and are no good. I bought one for my car and lasted 2-3 years. The S.C Johnson Co in WI makes the worlds best batteries, make sure you check the label of the manufacturer. I always get Walmart Everystart Maxx batteries and those last 5 years+ but I replace it...
Welcome to the 100 world!
Would you like to share few pictures of the underbody? Is it a paint to protect the corrosion? If applied without properly preping the rusted surface, the corrosion will accelerate.
turn the wheel all the way to left to do the left CV. I have done this way. Look for any parts that can get jamed when turning to left especially the boots.
