Im not familiar with anything that would be a direct fit to the frame. Doesnt mean it doesnt exist somewhere though. I am building a bumper with a double shear hinge on the face, so I havent researched spindle options much.
I assume it wouldnt be terribly hard to get some DOM tubing as a...
Did you ever hear back from them or receive the things you bought?
I am going through the same thing with them right now. Going on two weeks after purchase with no signs of life. Havent heard back from them on emails and phone calls. Seems like a common issue when you Google their name. Getting...
Original ECU was the 60220, and was throwing the 83-85 codes. According to my searches, this is usually resolved by replacing the ECU with a 60221 ECU. New ECU is a 60221 part number, and is throwing code 12 and the engine wont idle for more than 30 seconds.
@slow95z I didnt get the ECU from you, but I will let you know if the seller I purchased it from is unable to replace this ECU.
With my original 93 ECU installed, the truck idles extremely low. I thought it might be connected to the ECU being faulty. That was the reason for purchasing the 94...
Thanks for the heads up. I was aware of the learning function, but when I have reset my ECU in the past it just resulted in a slightly different driving characteristic until the ECU learned my driving patterns. As it stands with this ECU installed, the vehicle wont make it more than a foot...
I put the working 93 ECU back in. Trying to determine if I should be returning the 94 ECU to the seller as faulty or if theres some portion of the procedure I am missing. Unfortunately I am on the road and dont have access to a multimeter to test the ECU.
Swapped the ECU on my 1993 FZJ80 to the 94 model year, to upgrade from the faulty ECU issues of the 93.
Plugged the new ecu, reconnected the battery, and started the engine. The engine starts hard, sounds like it is missing on a few cylinders, will not idle and will die after about 30 seconds...
I was just out in Bishop the other day. Going to be heading down to Whitney and Tuolomne Meadows here soon this summer. Ill let you know when and we can do a trail or something.
I got caught up with some other maintenance. Ive pulled the throttle body again, and cleaned it... again. Unfortunately I didnt have feeler gauges, so I put it back on and went to get some, only to realize you can only really get a feeler gauge in there to test the TPS if the throttle body is...
Okay thanks. I hadnt seen your thread before. But it definitely isnt inspiring haha. Im hoping I can solve the issue without throwing a host of parts at it. I hadnt considered the ECU voltage as a possible issue, and now Im trying to wrap my head around diving into there to test what I can.
One...
Awesome. Im going to do more testing and see where it leads. So just to be perfectly clear, so Im not running myself in circles, you pulled your IAC while running and your idle bounced around? When I unplug mine while running, it does nothing to the idle. But if I unplug it and then start the...
I pulled while running and had no change in idle. Tomorrow I will pull and then start the vehicle. I believe that was how I got the idle to fluctuate before. Would that indicate a functioning or non functioning IAC ?
In my research and inspection, I realized today that my dashpot is set up wrong. My adjustment screw is actually in backwards, so it is making no contact with the dashpot at no throttle. Im going to adjust it first thing tomorrow, but does anyone think this could contribute at all to my symptoms?
