The rear locker light stays blinking when I try to engage it. The other lockers stay solid. So yes it must be something mechanical in the back.

I was changing my rear differential oil and look what i found, along with lots of metal shavings. It was not giving me any trouble, just routine oil change. Course of action? Any idea where that piece of metal came from?
Thanks so much... I had thought about wiggling to break off the tab, but i was worried I would just break the pipe that way. I was able to just break off the tab and then it went right in. Thanks again, i had put way too much effort into that already.
