Against my better judgement, I took the GX out on some mild(ish) trails with the rear airbags still in place. Did really well until I went over some rutted, rocky terrain. The rear airbags popped/deflated very rapidly and I went home looking like a WWII Jeep on a bumpy road test (all while...
Running icon remote Resis up front with icon 2.0 remote resis in the rear. Just did the rear shocks (with rear airbag trick) and will put springs on later. I kind of enjoy the novelty of the airbags, but the ride quality sucks. If I hit a bump the front absorbs well, as soon as the rear tires...
Not installed. I didn't notice any rub marks apart from the fender liners. I'll look into it more this weekend. Curious to know if the frame you're referring to and body mount are one and the same?
i had the shop set the caster to 4* to fit the 285 70 17 falken wildpeak at3ws. According the falken website these are 33" exactly.
I need to do some fender liner movement, but all is well. Also, time to rip off those side steps and see if my 5th Gen T4r sliders will mount up ok.
I just installed my icon suspension and am now looking for some meatier tires. My 5th gen T4R had 285 70 17s, but I felt myself longing for more. What's the tallest tire I can go without the BMC? I'm hoping I can go 34" or maybe 35s without crazy mods.
Please school me!!
So... it was the wheel bearings! Changed the hubs and now I've got a smooth Lexus V8.
Things to check:
I coasted down a hill in neutral. Sound was still there
I coasted down a hill with the drivetrain in neutral (t case set to N). Sound was still there.
In faster sweeping turns sound went...
Actually the shake goes away when accelerating. It's most pronounced when I ease off the throttle/coasting. It's a real rotational drone and slight vibration in the pedal and steering wheel.
Does anyone have an idea of what this could be? Just picked up an 05 GX with 93K, and I'm a bit annoyed that I'm hearing a trobbing sound and feeling it in the steering wheel from 50-65mph
Please help me out...
Does anyone make a delete kit for the gx470? I'm purchasing a great condition gx, but the RES doesn't work. Is there a delete kit anywhere? Or perhaps a cheap replacement?
