I daily drive a 97 Camry, runs great and everything works on it plus it gets much better gas mileage than my 80. Still see lots of old Toyotas on the road, other manufacturers not so much.
There's a thread somewhere here where @NLXTACY did that, looked like something straight from NASA. I believe he came to the consensus that a snorkel was the best way to lower IAT .
Do some research and educate yourself, the FSM is a great resource and you can download it here Wits' End Downloadable Files - https://absolute-wits-end.com/downloads/
No one other than toyota ever made a tool that I know of, some have activated the ABS manually by powering the system and cycling grounds.

When I replaced my radiator I thought I should probably replace those 22 year old hoses, but nah I was in a hurry to get it back on the road. Maiden voyage after replacement went to the gas station to fill up and a kind gentleman approached me saying hey I think your truck is leaking something...
Don't forget toyota gaskets for the y pipe, if you use the ones that come with it you'll have leaks and have to take it apart to put the right ones in.
Don't use the cold marks. The FSM states those are for filling the transmission if it's empty just to make sure you have enough fluid to drive it, then you recheck it warm and add more if needed. It also states after driving and parking, move the gate shifter through all positions then return to...
How old are your spark plug wires? I had a similar problem. Didn't figure it out until one day it happened when trying to leave for work. Truck wouldn't start so I popped the hood and had the :princess: try to crank it. I could see slight blue sparks jumping around the ignition coil, it was very...

The first post in this thread shows the bosal, the third shows the magnaflow. The bosal has a round cat and the magnaflow is kinda square.
I've never seen tech look under a car in my 26 years living in salt lake getting cars inspected. Now if you have an exhaust leak before the cat they will fail it. If you're 95 or newer they don't even do a sniffer test anymore, they just scan the ECU if it says it passes you pass.
That looks like a legit magnaflow, all the bosal ones I've seen have a round cat including the POS on mine. The magnaflows have the flanges on the side like yours. This thread has some good pics if you haven't seen it already Magnaflow now owns Bosal
Any reputable shop should be able to tell the condition of the radiator or refer you to a radiator shop who can. Here in Salt lake there is a shop called J-Mac radiator that specializes in that, you may have something similar in your area.
What fan clutch was installed? These trucks are very fan dependant, even at speed. Does your fan roar at start up? If you have a new stock blue hub fan clutch and it isn't roaring at start up I would take it back out and drain the oil out and replace it with a higher CST oil. I ran 20,000 CST in...
