If I hadn't just rebuilt the entire front end and air conditioning system, I'd have been parting this out myself. But a complete failure of the unit at 70MPH on the highway and I'm in need of a donor. Old one's available for swap if you're a rebuilder. My budget will differ depending on donor...
Copy that, and great info on the logic boards being used. Pretty sure it's just a button issue.
So it seems the version that you have (model number or part number?) is for a manual button HVAC?
I've got 2000 with no nav, so this may not be applicable to me regardless.
and my button's are getting finicky, so one of the reasons I'm looking at this.
(Rear AC only works from rear buttons, auto button doesn't work, and the mode selector you have to hit 3X).
If I hadn't put $3K into the ac this month, I'd be patient zero by now. Seems every time i have the money saved for bumpers and roof rack and sliders that something else needs fixed! Would love to hear from anyone about build quality.
265k update. It’s not a 25-year service life on my 2000 LX470, it’s a 20!
Replaced front diff again. Somewhere along the way (probably at last CV joint update)? The fluid made its way somewhere else. Was driving on the highway and started hearing a horrible whirring. Stopped at an autozone to...
I found this link (opens in ALIEXPRESS - no i'm not an "affiliate") that shows the touchscreen style radio/head unit with integrated HVAC controls mounted in an older model LX470. Anyone have luck with this? For $759, it's about the price of a broken nakamichi replacement AND broken HVAC control...
Hey Mud.
I've got quotes from 850-1200 for a front diff.
I've got bad luck, this is the second one i've put in in 150K.
First one was my fault; chewed the gears rocking it out of getting it stuck.
This one (used part) failed on its own; by the time it started whining I knew it was done.
Need...

Looking for (I think) 41108-60011 - the housing cover that's also the bracket.
Part 3 in Drawing.
258,084 Mile check-in.
New steering rack - detroit axle - installed fine, getting the old one out was as expected. Lots of swearing.
No more Stability Control warnings: priceless.
Also got the poly bushing kit mentioned elsewhere.
New lower ball joints.
New outer tie rod ends.
New upper control...
Don't think that will work, it tore out a huge chunk of the hole when it came out.
Not finding any donor vehicles locally, but checking tampa and orlando.
Thanks!
