Driver’s Side Heated Seat Is Non-Functioning… HELP!

Hey, all! I just sold my 80’s series last December and bought a 100 series. The driver’s side heated seat doesn’t function. (It was like this when I bought it). My Land Cruiser guy said that the repair would be $950 as he’d have to take the seat apart and wire-in a universal heating...

HELP W/ HEADLIGHT REPLACEMENT CHOICES, PLEASE!

Hi, everyone! My headlamps are both cracked on my 1994 FZJ80. I want to replace them with new ones... But there's very few used options available. And the ones that are for sale aren't that nice and are VERY pricey... Has anyone used these Depo Euro Glass headlamps that are for sale on Ebay...

    I Know - Not 80 Related... But any of you guys have experience w/ '96-2000 First-Gen RAV4's?

I've always wanted on of the mid 90's RAV4's. I'm looking for a commuter car to replace my '94 FZJ. Has anyone owned one of these first-gen RAV4's? If so, are they good rigs/are they reliable/are they easy to work on? How is parts availability? Should I be concerned about high mileage ones...

Sheepskin Seat Covers For 80's Series – Recommendation

During the first day or two of them being on my "Gobi" color sheep skin/acrylic covers from this company left only a little strands of fibers/fur on my clothes. It was only noticeable to me though because I'm a goth and wear all-black head-to-toe. I used a lint roller to roll over the covers and...

Bessie's Got A Power Steering Pump Leak... Should I Just Get PS Stop Leak OR Should I Have My Mechanic Do The Repair?

Hi, all! So Bessie's got a power steering pump leak... Mechanic quoted me ≈ $600 to fix it. I've gone 3-4months with the leak. (I do want to get it fixed at some point.) In the mean time should I buy power steering leak stop? Does it even work / does it work somewhat well? I don't have the...

Sheepskin Seat Covers For 80's Series – Recommendation

Those look very nice! I wish I would’ve gone with either the mushroom or grey color. I’ve got a ‘94 with the blue/grey cloth interior. I chose the Gobi (classic sheep skin) color because I thought it would look cool and look “vintage”. While it does – I am now just kind of wishing I would’ve...

Sheepskin Seat Covers For 80's Series – Recommendation

I’m a neat-freak and OCD when it comes to my car. So I always keep it clean and prevent the interior from getting dirty. So I can’t answer how these covers hold up to washing/cleaning. My guess is that the light colored covers (like mine pictured above) would stain pretty easily. So probably...

Sheepskin Seat Covers For 80's Series – Recommendation

OP here… Mine are the 50% acrylic 50% wool ones. They do NOT move around at all when you move your body around on them. The strap system is very secure and taunt. The covers fit REALLY really well for not being custom-made. You would almost think they are custom-made by seeing how well they fit.

Sheepskin Seat Covers For 80's Series – Recommendation

I considered getting these based on the good reviews… But I ultimately went with the ones I did because I liked that they covered the entire seat and headrest – they aren’t sideless like the Costco ones.

Sheepskin Seat Covers For 80's Series – Recommendation

No problem! Same to you also! My seats are the manual cloths... So no seat controls! You'll probably have to have them alter your covers in order for there to be a cut-out for the seat controls.

Sheepskin Seat Covers For 80's Series – Recommendation

From what I’ve read they stay cool in the summer heat and are warm in the winter. I’m down in Portland – and it’s been chilly here. The covers have been warm and cozy to sit on! Though it probably helps that my original seats are fabric also – so they never got cold like the leather seats do...

Sheepskin Seat Covers For 80's Series – Recommendation

I'd choose the brown color option, then... So they don't stain.

Sheepskin Seat Covers For 80's Series – Recommendation

Hi, all! So I have always liked the look and feel of sheepskin seat covers. I also have been wanting to protect the fabric on my original seats. A few weeks ago I ordered a pair of sheepskin covers + headrest covers from this company I found based out of Tacoma, WA. They're called US Sheepskin...

OREGON/SW WA RESIDENTS – JOIN OUR FB GROUP!

Hahaha! Feel free to still join – I just centered this group around NW OR & SW WA because it seems like most LC owners in Oregon are centered in the Portland metro area. And Vancouver is right across the bridge from Portland and is in the Portland metro area… So that’s why I included SW WA as...

What are you guys doing for insurance – do any of you have an agreed-upon value for your rig?

OP here... So I was able to obtain a stated value policy for my Cruiser. It was SUPER-duper easy. All I did was call Progressive and ask if they would be able to do this – they said "yes" - and then the agent asked me what I wanted to value my Cruiser at. I said "$20,000", and she said "okay"...
