Howdy.
I'm looking for one also, and I had a used parts guy find one, only one, in the US and it was located in Georgia. Since I'm in Idaho, I thought that I'd wait for one on the west coast to appear...

Jeesk, sorry guys; I guess that I'd assumed that this issue had been hashed over before, and the symptoms recongnizeable...
The only other imput that I can add is that it's got 176Kmi on the rig, that there are no leaks of any kind, and that all the other shift points seem to work correctly and...
Howdy.
My wife say's that she's noticed our '93 acting up since we got it, but even I cannot help but notice it now.
When the rig is cold, and starting off from a stop in Drive, it seems to take forever to get going. If on the other hand, you start out in 1st or 2nd, then it takes right off...
I'd be mighty interested in this, as I've got a squeeky 'thing' goin on; I figured it to be the Idler, but in actuality, it could be the alternator bearings as well. I just figured that I'd start throwing parts at it! :o So if this is cheap, I'm in!!

Just keeping this thread up front boys...
I've got to do this mod, so I'm looking for some closure here on the parts. I don't have any junk yards anywhere near me, so unless someone would be so kind to send me some of the sockets from a junk yard near you ;), I'll need to be calling...
Howdy guys.
Looks like a '95-97, Blue, Grey Leather, VERY clean 105Kmiles, Locked, and real stock. On an independent lot here in Hailey/Sun Valley Idaho. They're asking 13,500. 208-788-8424... I've got absolutely nothing to do with it, other than that I wished I had the $$ to buy it!
Robert...
OK guys, now what?...
After doing the Temp. Gauge Mod., flushing, and replacing the T-Stat with an OEM unit, I decided that the fan clutch 'probably' needed a change too...
I get the Hayden unit, install it, and have since noticed that I now Don't have the start-up roar that I did have with...
Dusty,
I too have been considering what the best method is to get some cold air up into the inner fender, although it would be used with the stock filter set-up.
I've run the gammut of ideas through my brain, from fender louvers, modified snorkles, to ducting, and basically came to the same...
Just an update:
When this thread began, there was talk of the Aisin/OEM fan clutch being physically smaller than the replacement Hayden unit, and followed this was talk of what this might do to power/economy being that it had more mass. However, I received my Hayden last night, and it was...
I concur! I bought my '93 last March for $6K and it had 173K on the clock. VERY well cared for with all the service done properly. No lockers though... if I'd been a little more savvy, I could'a got it for maybe $5K.
Robert
Howdy.
I'm in need of springs/shocks and all of the related items that you're offering to go with this set-up. However, I'm in Idaho, so could you possibly ship these items, and if so, what is the cost of your 'package' deal?
Thanks,
Robert
Dang, gang...
I just did the math for the conversion too...
82C does equal 179.6!! Now where did we get the idea that the OEM T-stat was 195?
Oh well, the OEM does seems to be more HD...
On another note, Darwood's new calculations with the accompanying suggestions for different resistors...
Ye-haaw! Done. Works like a champ, in-that, it moves! I haven't put it to any test yet, but I'm sure that it's A-OK.
Also replace my new 180 degree Stant T-stat, with OEM 195 degree. I feel that it's important to maintain the 'hot' side of things; the way that the factory intended...
Hey folks,
The last time that I read through this thread, no one had performed this mod on a 93-94 rig. Has anything changed, or do I need to be the guinea pig?
Robert
bigbrowndog,
Thanks (do you guys say 'ta' like the limey's do?), for the info And the offer for sending us the 'juice'!
Surely we can find it here; I'm wondering if it is REALLY specific Silicone Oil, or if something else might do the trick. I know NAPA (a US aftermarket auto parts store)...
Bigbrowndog,
Ya, I gave the local's that part # and they 'didn't' deal with it. Said that they couldn't (could it be an OZ #?).
Anyway, is seems as though with the numerous other possible issues with a defective fan clutch (ie, leaking, amount of silicone oil required, and the Bi-metal...
