I hav caught the scent of coolant a couple of times over the last week. This morning I came outside to find this.
On further inspection I cannot find any leaks under the truck, just from the tailgate area.
I’m pretty baffled. I thought that the rear heater core was only in the center console...
This is a new noise that started happening on my 2000 LX470 this week.
Things I have checked out/inspected:
1. Rear brakes, including parking brake.
2. Removed spare tire to see if it was rubbing creating the noise.
3. Looked for loose things all over the undecarrage.
4. Greased the driveshaft...
I bashed my front left LCA mount on a rock at some point. It seems to have ate the front portion of the bushing. Anyone else done this? More important, is there a skid available? I have searched high and low and not found one yet.
Anyone ever tried relabeling a 100 Series heated seat switch? I'm looking for a factory on-off-on switch to use for my courtesy light/rock light module that I'm in the process of testing.

After the tragic loss of my last 100 Series, in January of 2019, I set about finding a replacement that I could acquire for the measly sum that my crappy insurance paid me. In my local off-road club, I found this fairly clean 2000 LX470. It had lots of recent maintenance and that was a good...
While exploring AZ my left front AHC sensor went my front is setting 3” low. TechStream shows code for left front sensor and it is reading 4.7” high. Right front is reading 3” low that appears to be correct. Toyota dealer in Flagstaff says can’t get the sensor till Saturday.
When I try to adjust the drivers seat forward or backward the inside track seems to not adjust. The outside track tries to work as normal. Anyone else had this issue? Was there a fix other than replacing the entire track?
I’m looking at a 2000 LX470 to replace my totaled 1999 Land Cruiser. When I attempt to slide the driver’s seat forward or back, only the left track moves. The right one seems to be stuck in place. Anyone seen this problem before?
Do all 100s have all 4 mounting points? Getting ready to install my new FrontRunner tomorrow and deciding if I want to try to find the 4th point under the weatherstripping.
So, I wrote a blog post on communication options in the USA. It is being received well. Here is a link for anyone who is interested. Radio Communications on the Trail in the USA
