I am in Australia and have a 2003 HDJ100. I have a Longranger 180 litre ( 48 US Gallons ) aux fuel tank fitted along with a Kaymar rear tyre carrier, I tow a 2 1/2 ton caravan with a ball weight of 300kg and I can assure you the car handles brilliantly with that weight. I do have a 2" lift with...
Hey all,
well I just bought another FJ45, It is a fixed top with a few mods from original but is a runner and has great patina and very little rust. It appears to be a swb, I just want to clean it up and do what I have to to get it registered. The only thing throwing me is the data plate...
Removed the rotted wood flooring from the tray yesterday which gave me better access to clean out the chassis. Hosed a lot of red dirt and river pebbles out. I will re do the tray in the original style t&g flooring and timber side gates.
Wow, how cool is this. I was cleaning out the glovebox of the 1964 FJ45..... had the usual shotgun shells, old points, .22 shells, lamb tailing rings etc etc.... but I also found one ten cent piece, one two cent piece and two one cent pieces... what was interesting is that they were all dated...
Yep, what Allan doesn't know about Toyotas isn't worth knowing. He is actually the owner of Terrain Tamer and has the typical dry Aussie humour that most people who are not Aussies wouldn't understand.
Watch the whole series, very interesting and informative.
Yep, had a closer look today and has 4 x 16" solids and the 16" split rim. Went for a drive around town today looking for a large plastic tub to use as a molasses bath and spotto'd another early cruiser.... Not much rust, pretty much all there and has removeable top... Went to chat to the owner...
Yet to trace the swich, will let you know when/if I find out. Bloody cold here in Parkes at the moment as it is snowing in Orange.
So are the splittys later?
And then there is that dreaded body cancer......
Chassis appears to have been extended, or is the original to Aussie traybacks.....
will need to find or fabricate a spare tyre cradle...
got my work cut out for me removing the welded on angle from the original bumper.....
Passenger seat frame has been cut so would appreciate a photo of an uncut one so I can repair it, or are they the same as later 45 seats???
All dash knobs appear in pretty good nik and pedals are original.
