I have the CCOT quarters and found them pretty easy to work with. Willd take a bit of fineseing to get the best fit. But fitting them was fairly simple. Pretty much I just cut off everything like 4" down and removed all the spot welds. Then just fit the new panel overlapping the little bit of...
Don't suppose you have drivers side Spare Tire Latch (part that actually mounts to the rear sill). For the 1/75-08/76 plate style spare tire carrier that's on the drivers side
If its a downey/marks off-road type rear tank they aren't THAT bad to drop and remove. Just drive until its as empty as you can get it. Just try to preplan the fuel lines to have a setup you can easily remove and cap off when the tank is removed.
Just remember youll need a way to fill the aux...
IMO...it looks like a lot of work and parts to buy if you plan to fix it up. New fenders, new rear window, fix (or find used) new passenger rear hardtop piece, potentially bent cowl (or is it just from the fender being pushed down?), and then misc things like a new door handle (and im sure...
Not to much progress but did get some stuff done and also have the alternator bracket made up....well I think so at least. I don't have any small 3/8" bolts to really test it out but I got it painted in the meantime.
But I did take advantage of some sales and coupons and orders a decent amount...
Probably wasn't the best way to do things but got all four scab plates welded in, all for mounts welded in, the engine bolted down, the new AA propeller installed, and the propeller loosely bolted in. Got the engine mounts all painted up. For the transmission mounts I only got some primer on...
I feel your pain with the limited use of the drivers side plate carriers! I don't have the catch portion on mine at all (that mounts to the rear sill). The only replacement ive found so far is a new one made by BTB

Well woke up way earlier than planned so got some good time. Decided to work on the engine placement. Got the old mounts all off after some struggle...the red Loctite was a pain in the butt.
Once I got the welder dialed back in things went a lot smoother. Mounted the wire backwards which kept...
I actually considered that since i have some rust convertor already, but i can get grade 8 yellow zinc SAE bolts really cheap from work so the time/effort factor its just easier to swap them out
Working nights sucks. Youd think I'd adjust but I still haven't. But I did force myself out into the garage a bit today.
Decided to finally install my new fuel pump....it only took 3 separate orders to get everything (1 for the pump, 1 for the push rod, and 1 for the silly mounting plate). Was...
