I had one of the rear AHC lines on my 2013 LX 570 go out under CPO warranty. These systems do fail, which is also true of aftermarket stuff. This happened at around 50,000 miles. It cost close to $1,000 dollars for the dealer to fix and replace with new fluid and was covered under warranty. I...

@cruiseroutfit Have you heard any 16+ starter motor failures? Haven't seen any yet. Does anyone know when the part was changed?
Both the design and the location of the original starter motor are flawed, resulting in an expensive...
It's an interesting vehicle. Quad hub motors, very good ground clearance and performance. It's been slow going and Rivian has produced less than 1,000 vehicles to date.
I expect the F-150 Lightning will vastly outsell it. It lacks the air suspension, but does have 4-wheel independent...
Fair enough. Forgive me for being rusty on the codename, I did have to sell my beloved LX 2 years ago as the payment was too high for my budget (made a post about it). It still saddens me. The replacement of the starter motor is not like a normal vehicle and not a simple DIY job, it is badly...

Check out all the 200s there. Our tax dollars at work.
Thank you, I did mean 3UR. I do consider a $1,000 repair bill significant. In any case, time will tell the durability of the new engine and vehicle. I'm not saying it's junk by any means, but I do believe it will be less reliable over a longer lifespan (100,000+ miles) than its immediate...
Also add, the 2008-2015 2UZ has near 100% failure rate of the radiator and starter motor around the 100,000+ mark. The starter motor is a $1,000 fix that requires taking off the top half of the engine to access. The 16-20 models fixed these two issues (although not, of course, the stupid...
Too dark to tell, but if there was a solid rear axle you might be able to see a glimpse of it behind rear left tire. They should really take videos instead of pics to capture more angles.
One thing the renders will be accurate on: The Lexus version will be hideous. It hasn't looked good since 2015.
Will they be able to come up with a more ridiculous grille and worse bumper design?
I believe Lexus has taken on the challenge of making an even uglier truck than the renders or...
Hard to tell from this angle, but looks like independent rear suspension while the 300 series still uses a solid rear axle. Texas plate, also.
Of course, the next LX could be based on the Sequoia platform instead.
Toyota has done a terrible job trying to sell the LC in North America by insisting on only selling top spec models, while selling more affordable trim levels most other places. With a total lack of advertising and marketing, you could argue they were anti-selling it.
81,000 AUD = 57,700 USD
It's more money for a more complex engine and no V8 sound. A vehicle that is less desirable for me on the secondhand market. But it will have better fuel economy.

I'm sure all the cut and welded portions have not corroded since this monstrosity was created. The headliner lights are a cheesy knockoff from Rolls Royce. Someone spent actual money on that.
The overpressurized tires on new vehicles and trailers are so common because it's easier for dealers to store them (no flatspotting if it sits a long time). I just assume a new vehicle/trailer will have the wrong pressures in it now.
From the video's caption, they were only using 115 grain fmj rounds. I'm sure heavier or better rounds would get through. Still, it was an impressive carnival trick that shows the harder surface of the stainless steel. Nothing more.
