Are the factory front bumpers interchangeable between the LX and LC . I understand the grill on the LX is part of the bonnet but can’t see how that affects a factory plastic bumper which is straight cut
Anyone know the answer to this
Thanks mate, ill try get some more data and ill see how the IGN timing changes under load. Also the throttle pos sensor as vehicle just seems underpowered at the moment

I can get techstream to read and recognize the LX470 (Virtual box windows XP version of TS) but it wont recognize the 200 series ECU (VDJ model)
It brings up the box in the connection wizard to manually select vehicle but does not auto recognise and wont manually...

A slightly unusual one here, ive got TIS up and running for the first time and wanted to find out if the readings took into account the settings from the unichip. I would assume so as its merely telling the ECU what to do.

Thanks got it ! Plugs were pretty fouled but not much fuel in there surprisingly. The culprit was a split wire at the ECU where the Unichip is spliced in 🙄

My LX470 has been flooded , no not water , I suspect the spark plugs have fouled with too much fuel due to excessive attempts to start
I’m going to be pulling the plugs today when I get a chance but my question is , will whacking need plugs straight in fix this or do the cylinders need...
Edit** disregard this -----> Do you mean the bumper plate behind the actual plastic bumper requires cutting? If so those who wish to switch from bull bars would need to find the plate again

No i have mid spec model here, so standard Centre console. Im thinking freon pressures are wrong (probably overcharged ) but very hard to get in at short notice to mechanics where i live. Its a mining region so they get inundated with toyotas daily

If you are running a lean tune will a regular (factory) spark gap be too small to combust a leaned out mixture especially if the temperature is cold ie "cold start" ?
judging by the look it was recently put in and just overfilled a bit. If thats from an overnight sit, then i would drain about 500mls/17oz or so but nothing to be too concerned with
sure thing, i am on my days off starting tomorrow so will get as much useful info and pics as i can but the chip is a straight forward plug and play into the ECU, no splicing and dicing. Loop plug to bypass chip if needed
Funny you say that i was just thinking the same thing. Im not too Ofay with electrics but yes, im thinking some way of switching on and off at start without having to unplug and reconnect the loop plug. One reason i thought the wide band 02 sensor might be useful is i can run multiple programs...
I'll have a play and try get some data off Torque or Techstream and see if there is anything obvious but to me and (as said above) it really sounds like fuel trim at start or its too lean and not igniting when ambient/engine temp is too cool

Yes it needs to go to an approved Unichip installer with a dyno so they can look at the data. He added more fuel last time but didnt seem to help strangely enough.
