Going through this right now... I have a used throttle body I can swap the TPS over to, but if the code comes back, I'm just going new throttle body route for $460 or so. Not worth the worry in my mind.
Greetings friends, my folks live in Tri Cities and I'm looking for a recommendation for a mechanic in the area that knows the 2UZ. It's going to need its 90K service to TB, fluids, plugs, etc. I would do all this for them but am in CO. TIA
Nahhh, it's been in there a while and on quite a few trails. One thing I did was only mount it in three spots. Two on top and one on bottom, and I haven't had any issues with bolts vibrating loose
The clunk sound comes from the play that develops where the steering shaft can collapse in an accident. it's a different material that over time wears down and when you have the shaft on the bench, can wiggle ever so slightly
