I have read that T100 rotors and calipers work for an HZJ77. I also saw something about 4Runner parts working.
Can anyone give me specific direction for rotors and calipers I can get at a local parts store that will bolt up to this?
Thanks!
I promise I have searched Google and forums and just can't find the tightening sequence and torque specs. Called Cruiser Outfitters and they said they don't know either. It feels like the answer shoukd be easy to find but I have come up blank. Any help?
On the cylinder head of my 1HZ there are these two pressed in hose connectors. I need to get new ones for the new head. Can someone help me identify part numbers? Thanks!
Thanks Onur, I sure appreciate your expertise. I mistakenly thought it was 2". The header I ordered dumps at 2.5" so it should work with my stock exhaust line which is still in very good condition.
Thanks Onur. That makes sense that 30 year old machinery is fatigued, especially when it starts getting used kind of heavily. I've put about 10,000 miles on this truck over 6 months, most of those on the highway. I've ordered a header out of Australia and am hoping that with 2.5" exhaust will...
After a few random issues, none of which involved overheating, the mechanic pulled the head and as you can see it is cracked.
The truck is a 1991 HZJ77 with 220k kilometers on it. I've driven it the last 15k of those and right to the day I drove it to the shop it ran great, but I was seeing...
Welp, definitely has oil in the coolant and exhaust gasses coming out of the radiator when the engine is idling, cold, with radiator cap off. I drove a 2500 mile highway trip since I started this thread with no overheating and the engine ran perfectly except when cold in sub 35f temps.
Yes, first winter although I live in Florida so air temp is not really an issue. This only happens at idle when the truck is warm. On a warm restart it puts out a pretty big puff.
