Builds This Is Not A F-king Jeep

Ok, here are some pics of the shop. They came from my video camera that has a wide angle lens intended for widescreen video. I didn't extract the frames right so they are a little funky looking. I'll try and get some better pics soon. Anyone know if there is a way to identify the year my...

I dig the exhaust, you deffinently put in your time planning it. Thats what it looks like to me, it's allways alot harder than it looks also, great job! Quiet is nice for actually being able to hear your spotter. Deffinently less annoying to the others on the trail, but what would I know about...

If I have time I'll try and get some pics this weekend or during the upcoming week. I spend all my money on things that aren't digital snapshot cameras! So I'll borrow one. Its just one of the things I never think of. Not a technology guy but it would be useful, my cell phone camera is just poor...

Not anymore than just fooling around on my property, just to test it out some, ya' know. Previously I did all my work outdoors which always cut my year short. So my shop and being able to build how I'd really like to is the priority. I love to wheel, but I'm very very intrested in learning more...

    Detroit EZ locker help

Had one once myself. It would pop and slam and not really work. I was missing one, only one, of the pads that are inserted into each of the springs. I agree, check into that first, weld it if you want, but I think spools are better.

So I'm still around, and I've about finished my shop. I just have some finish work left to seal it up for "dem" cold breezes, and also wiring. Turned out good, ESPECIALLY considering I've never been a construction worker really. I did it all as I went and just plain learned the "hard knock"...

Thanks Got a few more weeks "depending on" weather untill I finish my shop, warm and secure! Made the funds yesterday for a new Tig welder, plasma cutter and tube bender, HELL YEAH! So all I can say is that the cruiser is getting totally buggied! At the moment I'm thinking 108"- 110"...

read back to the first page or two as I said then the brackets are unfinished! You are just reapeating what I have said for myself, outside of all the criticism.

Wow I'm glad to see I'm loved and missed! Spent the summer building a shop, so the cruiser sat. Have much left to do and little time to do it in. If you don't like me fine, don't care. Don't talk bad about the trajedy I have been through, and the people I've lost. Few can truly relate to...

ETRNLBLZZ Cool, I happy for you! It is nice to see someone use the good info thrown their way! Looks like you made some good compromises to get what you felt was important. I haven't checked in for a while, but it looks like a good set up to me, I'll bet your happy with it. ESKIMO I am...

Hey guys sorry for all the back and forth crap here, if anyone is still trying to keep up. After going back over all my notebooks and various plans made during the build I realized why I did what I did. My center tracking was one of my top issues, and still is. I compromised there with...

    Builds Chicago builds a 40

I've always thought of using a johnny joint shackle hanger. Any one out there done this on their rigs? I think it could be cool, not sure if it'd just be a can of worms though. It always seemed cooler than those "revolver shackles" I used to see all the time. I have seen 55 springs lots...

    Final 4 Link Calculations

Chop shop I don't see any bump stops in there at all, or limit straps? It looks like your links might be hitting there on the driver side frame end stopping the up travel of your suspension. Is this what your using to stop the up travel before your tire crashes into the coilovers? If so, that...

    Final 4 Link Calculations

I'd say "well designed" is key when using shorter links! Shorter links would have a smaller window of good travel. I say this meaning "where the axle travels up and down, not forwards and back". You want your suspension to travel up and down for sure, and if your links are too steep it won't...

Builds This Is Not A F-king Jeep

No one said shorten the links, I was referring to the brackets. In order to avoid rear steer I'd need a whole other design. My center tracking also points to where the traction will be pushing the axle. Steep links aren't cool, as they will cause the axle to swing forward and back more than up...

    Hydro assist pump question

I agree with tapage here, go psc. No expert here, but psc seems to take this off road stuff pretty serious. I have never hear of this company you've brought up. I really don't know, I think tapage has done enough of this work to know.
