My next project.... 79 Troopy
Finally dragged this home from its foster care... It's bounced around a couple owners recently and should be with its forever home now... :)
Stay tuned...

Good point, I could see it rubbing the front bumper. I run an aftermarket. However, I would rather trim the bumper vs cutting up the firewall/sliders....
I ran the 37s before I put the Delta arms and it was rubbing on the street turns... I had to move the axle forward or do some...
Your plan is heading the right direction for 37s....
I would plan on getting the Long Length Delta Arms, you want to push the axle forward as much as possible (that extra length makes a difference from cutting). You can also get relocation brackets.
I would also think about moving the rear...
Since you brought up the steering, I took a closer look at your linkage... that looks like it took a minute to iron out...
How did the rest of the routing go?
I mounted the 73+ version of these brackets and they were both Bucket Seat brackets.
I think the FJ55 brackets are the only ones they make for a Bench seat.
Good luck!
AC update to document...
I couldn't ever get the AC to blow ice cubes... it ran cool but never cold...
Problem was the AC pressure switch... the 3fe and 2uz run different switches... so different pressure cutouts...
Had my local hydraulic line guy build me a new AC line with the 2uz switch...
Thanks!
There isn't another continuous build thread. This truck was put together through various owners...I traced the history and there are various posts from the owners on Pirate and Mud.
The summary is the restoration/build started on Pirate somewhere on the west coast (WA?) around 2006...
Yep, I also haven't heard any clicking or saw any major wear... I cleaned them out, regreased them, and put'em back on...
Next time I'll take a closer look at the cage..
Makes sense on that being a wear point...
