Awesome! It’s for my boys 92, we really just need the transmission but will take them both. They are trying to find someone to swap out the one they have now that is having issues.
We live in Redmond so could come by anytime and grab them. If you want you can shoot me a text, it may be easier to...
Sorry about the lack of updates... so it turns out that the “fuel” I pulled out of the tank wasn’t fuel after all, but all water! What you see in the picture is what I got out after draining more out of it, you can clearly see the separation and how much water we had in the tank.
After...
I checked them all, under the hood the 10a “dome” fuse was blown and inside the 10a “gauge” fuse was blown. I replaced them and the “gauge” fuse blew again... that would maybe explain the no CEL because nothing on the dash gauges work, but that wouldn’t cause it not to start(I pulled the gauge...
So I pulled the dizzy, undid all of the electrical connections, dried out the ECU and the AFM, along with everything else, put her all back together and still no start. May have gotten worse, now no CEL and no A/T oil light when key is on...??? I feel like I’m going backwards!
I’ll retry it again tomorrow, pulled the distributor cap tonight and electrical connections and will put it all back together in the morning and give it a shot. I found a replacement ECU for $125 on here but would rather not spend the $ if I don’t have to.
Working on disconnecting all electric connections, drying and cleaning them, as we speak.
Pulled the ECU and guess what...half full of water. I’m guessing that’s my issue.
I wish I were, but this is our second vehicle and if she isn’t up and running sooner than later, we’ll be in trouble. They are definitely learning a ton and turning a wrench when possible.
Pulled some fuel from the bottom of the tank and there doesn’t seem to be water in it, at least not enough to see it separate at the bottom.
I did notice that one of the washers on the banjo bolts for the fuel filter didn’t get put back on, which would make me think that fuel would have been...
I don’t know about water in the tank, that’s one of my concerns, but not sure how to check. There is probably half a tank of gas in there...any suggestions other than draining it?
-CEL comes on when key is turned. I tried to pull codes, but it just blinks indicated no codes.
-Don’t think intake is split, but I’ll double check.
I didn’t pull the panel, but checked the Circuit Opening Relay to make sure fuel pump was getting power.
I pulled the glove box and everything...
