I’m having this issue on my 2006. Just got back from the mechanic 15 minutes ago. I was having a noise/whining/when turning on ac or defrost. He diagnosed it is compressor. He said he would let it cool down and take the belt off and check additionally but was 99% it was the compressor.
FWIW - I have a 06 LC with AHC and when its automatically adjusting heights due to weight or whatever there is a slight buzz heard. It adjusts while driving also, especially if passengers in the back or added weight after loading up stuff.
On that screen, scroll down and you should be able to see your phone and click on it to pair. It should then connect to airplay. I believe if you also click, automically start, at the top of the screen after pairing, it will automatically connect going forward.
Give the flush a little time. The fluid in my 06 had never been changed until i did it this year. The ride I thought was good when i bought it. After flush, the ride was basically the same. After an additional 2 to 3 weeks, the ride that i thought was good, turned into a great ride, much...
Like everyone says, don’t settle. To replace its going to cost you 12 to 14k. They will get there, if they don’t, go to your insurance. They are going to salvage it for 6kish and it will only cost them 8k in the end. My 2003 was totaled 3 years ago. I kept sending them classified ads with...
I was hoping he just called them that and was going to pull out some all terrains, but,.....no luck. A winter tire designed to be run in cold weather climate, i think 40 to 50 degrees and lower, dont quote me on that. Made differently so they would not last to long in my climate or in warm...
Sounds real similar. This was actually listed at 19k. I took it for a test drive not being familiar with the area and hit a speed bump at a bit of speed and thought well the suspension is in tune. Got back ready to pay him and thought one more look underneath and found it was leaking...
No rims, so maybe just smoldering, time will tell, so far so good. The only thing apparently never done was a change of AHC fluid, and knocked that out today, the fluid didn’t look to bad and everything was functioning fine. And I’m in Cali.....so not to much snow to worry about except for...
I picked up a 06 LC for 18.5 k with 167k miles, with an extra set of snow tires. One owner, all services done at Toyota dealer. 2nd timing belt and WP done 10k miles ago, alternator also. I caught the ad 22 minutes after posting or I wouldn’t be posting this.
I think I’ve already commented in this thread, but recently I was in a crash when the other vehicle ran thru a stop sign. Insurance is trying to total my 100 due to 13k estimate to fix. The phone was still attached. I use the schosche. I use the large steel piece for the iPad on the back of...

Not mine but posting since it’s the cheapest price I’ve seen on a 2006, though the miles are up there
Not a lot to go wrong with these things. I’m at a loss. The suggestion to beat on the door panel doesn’t look to bad right now. Going over a speed bump at high speed to see if you can jostle something. Rapidly moving the lock unlock button while someone is pulling the handle....
The...
You could try removing the piece on the armrest which would give you access to the inner door a bit. It will/should be covered with plastic but maybe releasing some pressure or fiddling around in it will trigger something. Might have to poke thru the plastic with something.
When u say “can’t...
That’s an odd one if you haven’t been in the door recently. So the doors not unlocking all the way....going by memory to unlock the door the knob is pulling on the wire cable to unlock. You could try grabbing the cable if you can get to it...should be attached to the knob and pull on it a...
My week by order of least importance.
Cleaned the car ahead of road trip.
Oil change.
Burnt out right taillight fixed.
Running boards taken off.
500 mile road trip for some steelhead fishing, rig smells like fish and roe, a good thing.
Currently airing out.
Bummer. It can happen. Depending on what you are doing I’ve found a hairdryer useful in softening up the plastic parts making them less brittle when messing with them inside the door panel. I’m in Cali, I see you are in CO, a lot colder there.
Just in case you aren’t familiar with swapping the motors........
No experience with JC Whitney, however, I’ve changed out the actuator motors in my FJ cruiser and 100 at a cost of about 5 dollars per door. I’m assuming the 200 has a similar setup, though I havnt searched for a thread in this...
I like the choice to cement grey.
If I had unlimited resources, I’d start with the first 40 color I fell in love with, either cadet blue or Capri blue. Follow that up with a army green and slap on a white top. Followed with quicksand and then some cement. Finish up with heritage blue, since...
