the comments about pin-striping on the primitive trails are no joke... some of those trails will kill a paint job. several years ago, me and a buddy went out there in his brand new F150 and hit every primitive trail we could find. the result was a permanent matte finish on the sides of his truck.
@gaijin the newer ones have a light near the lock/unlock buttons... guessing that's what is depicted. however, my light is on the right side of the buttons.
i'm pretty sure i've read a few threads here that state there are holes... haven't tried to pull them off myself, so i can't say for sure, but if memory serves me correctly, it's not just adhesive.

285/70r17 should fit with no spacers... 285/75r17 will likely have some rubbing. not sure i understand why you'd need lug nut extensions with RW... they do use a splined lug nut rather than a standard one though...
admittedly, i don't have a real answer to this, but since seeing this issue, i've researched it... i've seen the same 'fuel smell/fuel-boiling-out-of-filler' issue on sites related to motorcycles, mazda miatas, ferraris, etc... it seems to present itself under the same circumstances. i think...
