anybody got an extensive list of all the parts for the front wheel bearing job?
it's time for me to replace my bearings so I figure I'll replace everything involved while I'm in there - all the nuts, washers, gaskets, and maybe even the flange to mitigate the clunk. I've seen the awesome list...
I just installed new upper control arms and am about to take it to an alignment shop. is it standard practice to torque the nuts at ride height? that's of course what I did, but do the alignment shops know to do that?
pls tell me i didn't swap the fronts and rears...
so i just replaced my globes and i didn't triple check as i was reinstalling to make 1000% sure i was putting the rears on the rear and fronts on the front. but now that it's done, i was looking at the old globes and i noticed one of the smaller...
Would y'all consider this enough oil seepage to warrant a new gasket? I already replaced the passenger side, but left the driver side as-is bc it was so much more difficult to access the bolts and I would much rather not deal with it.
this perspective is through the driver side wheel well...
has anyone replaced their ML tweeters? thinking about ordering them from impex. i assume they are both the same p/n (i.e. not side-specific) 86160-0W300?
i saw all the 80 series posts on this, but none for the 100.
i recently drove my texas truck to the mountains and left it in a driveway for a few days in the 20 degree weather (with mild snowfall). when it was time to leave, i started it up and started to scrape off the ice on my windshield...
I was just driving on the highway for 8+ hours when all of a sudden my truck started pogo-stick-ing up and down at every slight bump in the road. I thought maybe i had hit a bad stretch of road, but no other cars around me seemed to be bobbing up and down like me so i kept driving another 5 min...
has anyone figured out the cause of the wind noise at the top of the driver side door? i've seen other threads of people having luck replacing the door weatherstripping so i just replaced the front and rear driver side door weatherstrips, which cost me $180 for the pair and while the doors seam...
My friend just had new wheels installed today so these are for sale. Her 4Runner had 99k miles on it when these were removed and it's a 2WD 4Runner (gasp) so these have never been offroad.
Asking $375 for the set. Austin, TX local pickup or I am willing to drive up to 2 hours and 51 minutes to...
I finally did my timing belt for the first time and while I was at it, I replaced my alternator, fan clutch, fan bracket, serpentine belt, and upper and lower radiator hoses as well as every single idler and tensioner. Feels goodmen.
BUT I couldn't get the upper radiator hose on so I stupidly...
Found this copper pin peeking out of my PS front wheel well lining/ engine guard. It was pretty wedged in there so I really don't think I picked it up on the road.
is redline assembly lube safe on the rubber cam seals or should i use silicone grease? following OTRAMM's (engine-out) video, he calls for "assembly grease" but i'm not sure exactly what he's referring to.
does anybody have the 2005 FSM? the free ones posted here appear to be for 2004 only and I am just trying to find out which position the FSM calls for for loosening the timing belt.
not sure if it matters but my truck was made 10/04
I have the following codes when looking at ABS/VSC/TRAC live data in Techstream:
C0200 - Front Speed Sensor RH Circuit
C1223 - ABS Control System Malfunction
I was about to order a new front RH speed sensor, but then decided to drive around and look at the wheel speeds. Well, all the wheel...
...and i turned on the engine. Was I supposed to bleed the air out of the fuel pump somehow? it struggled to turnover the first time, but now it's as good as new.
Do I have to worry about air in the fuel pump? sorry im an idiot.
A couple weeks ago I was driving around with the windows down and I noticed some terrible gas fumes everywhere I went. Being that it wasn't location based, I deduced it was coming from my 100 so I pulled over and sniffed around my truck and sure enough there was a nose-burning stench of gas...
I've got a subtle distortion in my front passenger side ML speakers in my '05 and figured I'd try out this refoam kit everyone talks about.
I also had a completely blown subwoofer in my '99 non-ML system so I thought I'd go ahead and replace the foam on my '05 sub to get some practice before...
If you're within a 4 hour radius of central TX I can meet you. $600 for the set of 5. Keeping tires on for ease of transport, but I probably wouldn't use them.
Didn't want to disembowel my mirror; didn't want to buy a [new] one off ebay; knew there had to be a better way.
I went to my local hardware store and bought this:
it's called a "hammer wedge" and the leading edge is about the thickness of a quarter (could've just used a quarter and saved on...
