Thanks all for the info, Yes its the PZJ75 LWB Troop carrier you can see the pics here 1991 Toyota Land Cruiser for sale in Goregaon, Mumbai
Coming from where I do, getting tranny's for these are next to impossible. I have to drive this as is. I am looking to covert this into a simple camper...
Hello Peeps,
I am looking at a troop carrier 3 door wagon style. Its a very rare rig in this part of the world and you might end up finding a handful even if you look hard.
Now i figured it is a 1991 3.5ltr, 5 cylinder in line 5 engine & to my surprise it comes with a 4 speed gear box.
Now I...
I have a 91 1hdt, I just did an engine overhaul an year back and now head gasket blew and valve guide failed, I had this problem before the engine overhaul and I got it done once already. I suspected a head crack but the machine shop says that is not the case. What could be the problem, am I see...
Hi,
I just got the clutch changed in my A442F, shifts very smooth, runs well, but after we fitted the tranny back, noticed a grinding shift when playing around with the transfer case, its like gears struggling to sync in. Now this happens when the truck's engine is on but when in dead slow, but...
I am totally confused, FSM says 1800 +/- 100 for 1HDT specifically. Are you saying that it is not more that 1400?
I got very bad throttle response, sluggish, gear slips and my TC when opened up looked like it was opened once before with welding marks all around. Looks like a sloppy rebuilt job..
No sire, mine is hovering around 1100 while the FSM says it should around 1800 plus or minus 100.
Anything 600 lower than 1800 means it says issue with the TC
Did the stall test in both D & R it does not rise beyond 1100 rpm, according to FSM test spec more that 600 rpm's lower that the specified numbers connects back to either TC or engine now producing enough power. In my case I have recently rebuilt the engine.
It moves but very very sluggish and has no throttle response at all compared to the 80 of a friend of mine. I am also doing a complete transmission overhaul with it, including clutch etc...
Hello there!
I have brought down my transmission of 1HDT 91 with A44F2 fully hydraulic.
Now I figured my torque converter is gone. No way I can find this in India, where I live.
I have been seeing some refurbished one's by Florida Torque Converters on ebay, any feedback if these guys are good...
Opened the transmission over the last weekend and found out the torque converter has gone kaput. Checked the core for resistance and there is none. SO looking for a replacement, this is a tough part to find :bang::bang:
