I think the best way to improve flex is to remove Sway bards/fabricate sway bar disconnects. Not the safest for city/highway driving but can be compensated with good 2.5" adjustable shocks (King, Fox)
Use parabolics rear leaf springs and make sure that all shocks have enough down travel (could...
Nice pictures!!! Thanks for the links, I'm going to check them out. I'll also be contacting you for the jerry can.
Let me know if you plan on bringing something from Australia to Panama in the future, perhaps we can split costs.
Found this on ebay the other day imported from Venezuela. Is not mine, sorry if this has been posted before.
The FZJ73 is a monster.

Thanks! I going to look at the club, I check their forum a while ago but there was no much information. I know the FJ group did a couple good trips not long ago. Right now I'm preparing to go to Volcan Baru, but I have been tool that the trail is much easier now.
I usually like to go wheeling...
Thanks man. I'm looking into superior engineering suspension stuff but I need to find a way to bring them to Panama. All the cool stuff is from Australia or NZ haha.
Do you know any good trail in Panama? I have been to Santa Isabel in Colon (pretty nice for camping), el Cope in Cocle (good...
Hi Guys,
I'm looking for a AC (120V) power cord for my ARB fridge. The fridge came when I bought the car but the AC cord is missing.
Do you know if I can use a generic AC power cord such as this...
Thanks... I still have many things to do but for now I’m just going to enjoy it as it is :)
The 25 year rule does not make sense but politics . I have seen a couple of 93-94 FZJ73 popping around Miami. I’m pretty sure those are imported from Venezuela. Although they are asking crazy...
Hi guys I have been in the forum for a while mostly learning but now I want to share my 76 with you. It’s located in Panama, so if any of you is around Panamá and wants to go wheeling just let me know.
A little background on me; I used to drive sport cars but after a while I got tired of having...
Hi Guys,
I have been looking at 70 series for while now and the time has come to buy one. I currently drive an FJ cruiser with 100k miles but it's time for an upgrade.
I'm currently looking at a 2014 GRJ76 with 10.000 miles with no lockers at a great price. I'm looking for advice and things I...
@rojjim thanks for your reply that what I needed to know. In your opinion does the 1PZ have enough power for some offroading with some mods (285/75/R16 tires on steelies, bull bar, rack)
@roscoFJ73 thank you for your reply. Sorry, I think I meant just a highway. Top speed os 100kph and we do have a slow lane. I dont mind cruising at 80 or 90 but will this speed be a problem? Or can the 1pz do it without problem? I used to have a 3F and highway speed was no problem
@Aussiecruiser82 that's what I figured. I will start looking for an 80 but I will also give a look to a couple of 70s locally available.
I have found a couple of 96 80 diesel with a manual tranny in very good shape. I will give those a look too. I hope to post pics soon :)
Hi guys,
I have found a 92 70 series with a 1PZ in it with 150k miles. I"m looking for a 1FZ but those are impossible to find where I live. All 70s here are diesels.
I plan on using my LC as a daily driver and some light offroading. I will add a bull bar, larger tires and a winch.
Do you have...
Thanks for the advice. Actually the ones that are available here are the 1PZ and I'm a little worried about the LC been a little underpowered for highway driving (I have a 10 miles commute on a high speed highway)
One of the reasons I like the 80 is due to the 1FZ
