    1988 1st Gen 4Runner Build

YES it has, Plenty more ahead. That was the allure with this build, it doesn't have to be perfect like the FJ62 build I did, I don't have to worry about scratching or denting this one up. all the work is pretty much done already just some minor things I would like to do.

    1988 1st Gen 4Runner Build

Got new front bumpers installed. Will need to re-trim to clearance for tuck. Looks better. Thinking on the new Bronco Grey Blue color for the truck. Not going to spend to much time on the body work as its going to get damaged again but still want it to look somewhat OK from 10 feet away.

    1988 1st Gen 4Runner Build

Interior seats were trashed. Found some donor seats at the local U-Pick-It and grabbed both front seats and rear bucket seats from a 2nd gen. Driver seat bolted right up. The front passenger did not, had to drill some holes to allow for the mounting as the front seat in the '88 slides forward to...

    1988 1st Gen 4Runner Build

Spent some time on some body work. Both bed sides were pretty trashed. Pushing out the larger dents that I can. Its not going to be perfect but may look a little better before I have have a chance to trash them again. The truck came with doors but the B-pilliars are to gone at this point. Tube...

    1988 1st Gen 4Runner Build

It's been awhile since I’ve been on the Forum. Ive picked up a new build for myself. 1988 4 Runner. PO did a ton of work and had a lot of fun with it as you can see. The body is too far gone to put much work into it. Just going play with this one. List of what has been done so far: SAS with...

New to FJ land from a 100

Welcome and nice FJC. How did your rig do while towing? I have a similar pop up with a kitchen slide out that I tow with a 1/2 ton. I think the camper weighs in at 3,200 lbs. I've been reluctant to tow with the FJC because of the weight. Thanks in advance for any input.

What do real land cruiser owners think of the FJC?

Not stirring the pot at all, just a valid question. A lot of subject experts on this internet thing and most of them don't have a dog in the hunt. Did not notice your "sig" line,my bad.

What do real land cruiser owners think of the FJC?

Just wondering... how many of you that commented on this post 1.) Own both, an FJC and a TLC? It appears that only a couple of the commenters seem to mention thier ownership of both. I currently own a FJ62 and a FJC. I have a use for both and both are great off road. The FJC will out...

Super late reply, I got them on tire rack right before the holidays season. But I did keep it cheaper because I chose to get them installed by my own shop. No warranty on the tires.

That's been a main issue since install! The shackles are sitting on the spring eye! And the fix from cool cruisers is to cut the military wrap off the the leaf..... Horrriblw engineering. I have ordered OME Anit inversion shackles. The other issue is the the more than 1 1/2" lean..... ludacriss!!!

    Unicorn Build

Still waiting on that taco invite ! I didn't have to much power with the truck to begin with so I have nothing to compare it to other than my old 3.0 4rnr. I'm still chasing issues but it's getting there. Gonna do aussie or ARB lockers next and at that point will do a gear change over...

I did go with the AT KO2 BFG. I had them on my Chevy and have 30 k on them with no issues (Arizona... dry as f@&k! ) 33x 10.5 x 15 for less than $600 new. Could not beat it! FJ will get less than 5k on it in a year.

It is the HFS 2.5" LIFT. Anything was an improvement over the flat broken spring I had on it. It rides ok but wouldn't recommend it. If I had to do it all over again I would have gone with OME. Here is why. 1.) The front shackles have no clearance to the spring eye. The recommended fix by...
