Any idea what brand of wheel this is?

Does anybody have any idea what brand of wheel this is? From what I can tell, it looks to be a 16" and also has a center cap that fits on the LC80. I believe it may be a Japanese brand, as these are on a Japanese LC80 imported to the US....but I can't say for sure. I'm not crazy about the...

Are Thule or Yakima Accessories on a FrontRunner Rack?

Can anyone with some knowledge weigh in on whether Yakima or Thule accessories will mount on a Front Runner crossbars mounted to a truck bed? I've searched, without success, for a solid answer and I just haven't had any luck. I realize Front Runner has their own accessories, but I have some...

If you're willing to share the dxf file, I'd love to check it out in Solidworks! Thanks in advance!

'97 LC80 Steering Slow Return To Center

So....I swapped out to a set of front radius arms that have the stock bushings, providing stock caster. The truck definitely turns back to center much better now! I did take some of the advice to check out the trunnion bearing and this is what I can feel. The wheels are definitely harder to...

Either I'm looking at the wrong parts or both of those vendors are either out of stock or no longer selling the kit.

'97 LC80 Steering Slow Return To Center

Can you speak to this process a bit more? What will I feel? A spot somewhere in the articulation where the wheels stick or feel harder to turn/. Now I'm curious if I'll feel it, as you say, more in that 9 o'clock to 3 o'clock area just on either side of dead straight? I'm fairly positive...

'97 LC80 Steering Slow Return To Center

I get what you're saying. Maybe my expectations are unreasonable comparing it to the Tundra and 4Runner. I'm going to start by swapping out the radius arms and see where that puts us. My hope is that dials it in much better! Thanks for the suggestions and I'll report once I swap out the...

When you say trunnion bearings, are you referring to the bearings on the top and bottom of the knuckle that are accessible when disassembling the berfs?

'97 LC80 Steering Slow Return To Center

I have a stock set of radius arms coming so I'll try everything stock. Truth be told, I test off-road products for a living so I feel pretty much everything. It's a blessing and a curse....

'97 LC80 Steering Slow Return To Center

Thats my bad...I meant to type "castor bushings". As far as "snapping back", that's not what I'm looking for. I have to turn it back to center, which doesn't seem right. I have a 2015 Tundra and a 2018 TRD Pro 4Runner as well and the steering comparison between the LC80 and either of those is...

'97 LC80 Steering Slow Return To Center

So...a few questions. Do the OME caster blocks add + or - caster? What's the sweet spot? With the OME kit, the idea of the caster blocks is to provide 2 additional degrees of caster....so the fact that I can't tell the difference in the steering with/without the lift has me a bit confused.

'97 LC80 Steering Slow Return To Center

I can't answer that for sure because I've only owned it for a few months. The lift was put on mostly because the previous owner wanted to replace the shocks, which were worn out. For the price, he just decided to do the whole OME kit. Caster blocks were put in the factory arms to correct the...

'97 LC80 Steering Slow Return To Center

I'm looking for a little help trying to diagnose an LC80 with steering that seems a bit lazy to me. Steering effort is certainly a bit heavier than our Tundra and 4Runner, but not terrible. I attribute the heavier effort to the full-time 4wd. The steering doesn't wander, and honestly it...

Any way to identify which OME springs were used?

I'm checking out Slee and see they have an OME2851 (not just 851), but no 2852/852. Am I looking at the correct springs?

Any way to identify which OME springs were used?

Interesting development. I was able to acquire the factory springs that were originally on this LC80. I pulled the OME's off, and put the stockers back on. I left the OME shocks on and the caster correction blocks. After a test drive, I'm blown away. It drives like a different vehicle and...

Any way to identify which OME springs were used?

Actually, I have an update. The springs that are on our LC80 are 2850/2863. Anyone have any recommendations for going to a shorter spring that I could also keep the OME shocks that came with the kit?

Any way to identify which OME springs were used?

Unfortunately, no. The installer must have removed the tags on the springs so I have no idea what they are. However, I did take some measurements though. The previous owner thought he added stock replacement springs, but I don't think so. I measured from the center of the hub to the fender...

Any way to identify which OME springs were used?

While this is my first post, I've lurked in this forum for years, trying to absorb as much information as possible. Attached is an image of our 1997 80 Series. It has the factory lockers and was well loved by a friend of mine as the previous owner. Since the factory suspension was sagging, he...
