Hey guys. My 76 fj40 has really low compression so I think a rebuild is soon in order. I have come across a freshly rebuilt 79 engine for $1500 (with my core). Would I be better off buying that and dropping it in or rebuilding? I am mostly concerned about cost here. Thanks!

I need a manifold for my 76 FJ40 which has an 8/76 build date. I've found manifolds for up to 8/76 and for 8/76 and up. So which do I need?? I assume they are different and I could potentially buy the wrong one. It's the stock 2F with 4spd. Any help is appreciated.
