3.5mm is the size for the small vacuum lines
10ft did the whole truck with a foot or two left over, I used the extra thick platinum cured silicone which is apparently the best.
This is what I used and where I bought it, it comes in silver, red, blue, and black.

You are correct on the passenger side to bypass you would replace the T with a straight pipe. On the driver side the T is actually the lower hardline underneath the heater valve above the valve cover against the firewall. It splits into two going to both the front and rear heater cores. You...
There is a hose that toyota sells that will work for both rear heater hoses. It is for a previous model landcruiser. You cut it in half and then use one half for the passenger side rear heater connection and the other half for the driver side rear heater connection. The only way to get the exact...
Just to be clear the two blackstone reports I am referring to were done in the past on 4/5/6 and 8/2/6. My last oil change I negelected to do one, of course when it would count the most.
I could and probably will do one when I get the vehicle back and go from there.
I thought of doing a used...
I have two blackstone analysis reports and they both came back fine, a little fuel in the oil (believed to be from idling), and silicone levels indicating the need to change the air fliter. Weird thing is I just had changed it. Unfourtunately the last time I changed the oil, 2 months ago, I did...
First a little history.
I purchased a 97 80 this time last year. In June during a road trip it overheated and the thermostat was found to blame (diagnosed by dealer). I replaced the thermostat and gasket, phh (silicone), fan clutch (blue), flushed system and used toyota red 50/50.
Thursday...
I was thinking leaky/bad spray pattern injector(s) might be the culprit as my last two (and only two) blackstone reports indicate fuel in the oil (0.8% and 0.5%). They think it is due to excessive idling. Also unrelated the silicon was at 14ppm and they said it might be time for a new air...
Mine is also only under load.
Some more data:
I hooked up the obdII and drove around looking at the laptop screen (kinda dangerous).
At idle the timing was 4.5 degrees. It is all over the place at the other rpms, I can't make any sense of the data. Sometime at 1300 rpm it is 9 degrees other...
Next time I'll post before I attempt to do something just to double check. Thanks to everyone for the input. I had no idea. I thought I was just being thorough.

You are right in that there was residual coolant since I didn't drain the block until yesterday. How much coolant is required to prevent the micro-boiling and to properly lubricate the water pump?
Thanks, didn't know that.
So is it fine now that there is water wetter in there or do I need to drain and fill with coolant while I keep tabs on the cleanliness as it runs through over the next week.
Thanks!
It was my first time and it took me 5 hours including setting the timing (https://forum.ih8mud.com/showthread.php?t=106705) and two breaks to check the internet for information.
I have been getting a noise during slight acceleration off idle until 2000 rpms. I put in supreme and the noise went away. I listened closer and it still seemed to be making it although only sometimes and very quietly.
Today I adjusted the timing in hopes this is the cause. I check it and it...
