    ‘64 FJ40 3-link guidance

Your plan is similar to how I built mine. I wish I had another truck to measure off-of, as I have needed several iterations to work out what all of the outputs of the calculator mean and how they feel. I'm still not "done". You want to make sure you have no roll over-steer, as that feels...

    Builds Meet Ivy, 1976 FJ40 w/VW TDI

Deadly. I am jealous for sure. I often wonder if an RV towing a trailer is better than a flat-bed with the cruiser on it towing an RV. Pros and cons to both.

You should just start another thread for the RV project. I have thought about a similar project for a while. 4x4 motorhome that can tow my heavy 40 on a flat-deck.

75 series super glow system won't turn off

I had something similar on my 3B, and found a broken wire. There is a temp sensor in the system, so the glow thought the engine was dead cold still. It nuked my glow plugs, and I had to get new ones.

    Sasquatch engine swap 2.0

thanks for the info. I am going to try to sneak a PTO shaft up the drivers side too, so I may have to stick with the 4L60. I am currently collecting parts for my project.

    Sasquatch engine swap 2.0

Thanks for posting, and I have so many questions, but will start here: Which manifolds did you use? Did you have to use a body-lift to clear the 6L80? Thanks, Kevin

    Cruiser Days 2024 (Early Discussion)

I had planned on heading from the Okanagan to the Sunshine Coast the week before that date, so this could really work well for me. Thanks for the advance notice!

PTO Winch vs a V8 conversion

Thank you! that gives me the inspiration to give that a try. I'd like to keep my winch bumper.

PTO Winch vs a V8 conversion

I agree that its tight and I don't think it will fit. The drivers side exhaust will be in the way. I was just fishing for anyone that has tried it, and/or successfully done it.

PTO Winch vs a V8 conversion

My 3B swapped Fj60 has a PTO winch, and I am am planning a V8 swap in the next year or so. Has anyone managed to snake the PTO shaft past a V8 in a 60? I can't see how it will all fit, but I thought I would see if anyone knows of it being done.

Builds Peter's Ultimate Expo Land Cruiser Build Thread

I vote for plan A, for leg room and seat reclining (your comfort) and dog habitat (their comfort). There is no way you are gonna have that dog in an outside space, so just build the platform and enough space for a dog bed. storage underneath. maybe 2 or 3 feet?

    My 76 1UZ build

It took me a year to get my garage to the point that you can put a truck in it. and its no where near finished. I'd be pretty stoked if you got a garage built in your short construction season.

Builds Project Lockjaw-1973 Fj40 on Tons

I had to push my axle mount forward a little more than that for the same reason. I have a passenger drop Dana 60 though, so the diff-cover is close to the axle mount.

Builds Project Lockjaw-1973 Fj40 on Tons

I have had a couple of these catch-points during my project. At one point I had 4-linked 60 series axle under the back of the truck and it just didn't clear the frame, tub, tires etc. I had to work on something else for a while to clear my head and create a new plan and get ready to commit to...

    The one ton swap thread

Not online, but in Calgary, the only place I think that would tackle that is E-mortal Customs. They might be able to pull an estimate up for you.

    The one ton swap thread

Or the B pillar! But the Cummin, 1-tons and 42s may weigh more than the factory bits. There is so much work in that truck. Time to buy the parts back and build the hilux?

Builds The LF40 Wheeler Build - Twin Turbo & 8 Speed Auto FJ40

ooh, I need a sway-bar too, I like the location. I will have to see if I can sneak one in there too. Which bar did you use? I look forward to a report back on how it feels.

Builds Bad Bitch Betty Build v2

yup, I but one of them into an old mini-truck I had, so I bought 3, and a friend building a couple trucks as well, so we split the bulk order. I don't think we got it rom Waytek, but it was still a lifetime supply of the pieces for both of us, and come. .
