    Turn Key....Click! - Permanent workaround

Yea that could work but then you get away from the whole point of doing this, and that is to bypass all of those mechanisms (fuses, fusible links, starter switch, trigger wire, neutral start switch, etc). Your way forces you to still use the key, and just add another solenoid. I don't really...

    Turn Key....Click! - Permanent workaround

You could add a secondary solenoid, but you’d have to wire it so it still activates the solenoid on the starter. If you don’t, the gears won’t push forward to engage the flywheel. Activation of the starter solenoid physically pushes the gears into the flywheel so they mesh, then battery power...

    Turn Key....Click! - Permanent workaround

Vehicle: 1986 HJ61 12HT Like so many of us I struggled with an intermittent starting issue. We often spend a lot of money replacing the starter switch, relay, glow plug relay, battery, etc. None of which did any good, even after cleaning and polishing up all connections. My starter in my...

Thanks, I'll check the vsv today. So is it ok to run the vehicle without the vacuumhose attached? The only image I could find of it is the one in the attachment.

Some dash lights won't turn off

This is what the back end of mine looks like, which I'm thinking it's without the IC Regulator, although the images don't look exact. I have a 12V too.

Some dash lights won't turn off

I can't seem to find the voltage regulator? I see a small plate on the back of the alternator but not sure if its under there or not. I'm not sure if they moved the voltage regulator to another spot on the vehicle or not. Thanks for the images!

Filter, Battery, and ! lights....why wont they go out?

I'm thinking it is either the voltage regulator or a dirty alternator. All three of those warning lights (fuel, air, battery) connect to the voltage regulator. But it sounds like you replaced it Freewheel without any luck. Which makes me think just a dusty and dirty alternator is what is...

    A440F and Tachometer Question

Hi all, Recently I've been noticing that my transmission shifts really fast from 2nd to 3rd gear, so it doesn't stay in second gear long (HJ61 86' 12HT). My accelerator cable was all rusted and I eventually broke it free and lubricated it so now it works smoothly. Before that, the car would...
