Did the replacment cowl fix your leak? I think I have the same issue. Windshield was replaced in October and now I have had a couple times where the cabin air filter was soaked and not allowing air to flow.
Do you have a PN for the cowl? Thanks!
Appreciate it. But I should be good as long as the parts truck shows up tomorrow AM. And seems like it was fairly common to be missed at port/PDI.
I found this thread and a few others after a search:
Trailer hitch wiring
I'm pretty sure these 2 plugs are what's used for the 7-pin I have pictured in the first post. I was really surprised because in the glove box was the 7 to 4 pin adapter and the trailer brake wire harness. Very strange. Good news, the Toyota dealer said they could get one in tomorrow by 7am, so...
I am supposed to drag a trailer out to Eastern Washington tomorrow and just realized that I don't have the 7-pin trailer connector. I have a 2016 LX 570 and the part number is 82169-60080. I called Lexus and Toyota and no one has it local. Is anyone willing to unclip theirs and either loan it to...
295/70/18 not as easy to fit as the internet said...but it looks great. Tundra TRD wheels with 1.25" spacers. Trimmed some plastic, heat gun to the fender well liner and then shifted all the plastic on the front lower area forward. Only a little rubbing on the side step plastic piece (just needs...
Toyo proxies on 4 with lots of tread left. 5th wheel has old geolander tire. No curb rash.

Ah, this brings back some memories...and a little PTSD:p. Glad my post could help someone out and like you I am surprised this is not seen more often given the number of high mileage 3F's in the world and a critical component made of plastic and metal.
Those look great and nice rig! I just ordered my wheels (Method, 18", ET25) for my 16 LX and am trying to figure out how much tire a can fit with minimal lift and plastic trimming only, I am hoping 295/70/18 but that might be pushing it...
Any reason for going away from KO2s? I've run those on...
Those look great with silver and I really like that tire size! I am surprised by how much darker they look in the real world than your first pics. I think this is a good route for me.
Also glad to see you didn't waste any time getting things dirty:cool:
I am working with black and have been debating chrome delete or find some wheels that could work with it. Hoping that maybe that titanium would look good...
Can't wait to see how your rig looks with them.
@DrivenLyfe have you received you methods yet? I am eyeing the same wheel, maybe in 18" but the same titanium color. So I am wondering how the fit and look ends up on yours.
Congrats and no worries...it's a good question and from what I have read so far, you can fit up to about a 33" tire in the stock location. Right now I am looking at running 275/70/18. Just need to find a set of wheels I like with the right offset.
OK, so it looks like factory cross bars for now. For anyone else interested Lexus PN for the kit: PT278-60160
@AnyMal - what Methods are you running? Any EVO replicas that you like? I agree, 45ET is fine but would rather be in the 30's and pushed a little more outboard. I was running Mehtod...
I have a new to me LX 570. I am coming from a 2010 GX 460 that was lifted on 33's with sliders. I am looking to go down the same route with the LX. I am actively researching all of the below but if anyone has some input on anything, it would be appreciated.

1. First thing, need to...
OK, this is all good info. So it sounds like I can run a 275/70/17, I just wont get a spare of that size to fit (stock hitch is currently installed) Thanks guys!
Yes, I searched.
I am looking at these Method 703 wheels: 703 | Matte Black - https://www.methodracewheels.com/products/703-matte-black?variant=31922243207229
I've seen plenty of 17x8 0 offset, but nothing in 8.5. Should I worry about another .5" in wheel width? And then what size tire are...
Have them rotate the tires back to where they were. A bad tire/imbalance up front will be more pronounced than in the rear. That should narrow things down. Also, any decent tech should know to try that if issues occur after rotation...look for a new shop?
Yeah, in all my trouble shooting and research with my issue, I could only find 1 documented cam gear failure on Mud, but that was with a black plastic looking aftermarket gear. And there was one other very old case on a now archived Yahoo msg board that sounded like a similar failure to mine.
I...
