Makes sense completely. I would have bought my brackets from planted had they had these available for suspension bases back then but I am happy with the Bride bracket set up and it hasn't given me any problems.
To be honest, you could probably get away with removing the suspension base itself from the seat/floor and mailing it to planted for getting a bracket itself fitted on top of it if no one volunteers to bring their rig to their facility.
I am using suspension bases with scheel-mann seats using bride brackets/rails. Bride makes brackets that fit right onto the suspension bases but you have to buy them out of Japan using a proxy service. They are not sold in the US. Getting the scheel-mann to fit onto the bride bracket...
X2....same question here. Never seen or heard of a broken one but I will say the more weight you put on the door, the more force it seems to take to use that latch to release the whole door.
The current Ford Ranger 4x4 is a far superior truck compared to the 2016-2023 Tacoma 4x4. I am saying this while owning a Tacoma but it is what it is. Not sure about the 2024 Tacoma however.
Too bad the diesel variant isn't available here.
Try @cwwfj60 in San Antonio. I don’t know his current workload but he knows his way around 70 series cruisers.

100% true. Some test and pre-prod vehicles end up living a little longer pulling various duty around the plant grounds but they will never leave and eventually destroyed as well.
Seen this many times with Tundras, Tacomas and Sequoias.
I think there is usually a "Only LSD oil" sticker on the differential housing as well. Maybe that stopped with the newer 70 series or they fall off perhaps.
I didn't have an issue with noise driving the FJ73 with the OEM soft top. Open or closed. It was on there pretty snug too. Aftermarket and home brew soft tops probably are more prone to highway driving noises however.
It seems like many FRP top owners don't realize this but going back and forth from OEM soft top and FRP top will get old quick, at least it would for me!
Both connectors for either the dual button or single button type were tied into the main harness for me. It was just a matter of changing out from dual button to the single H4 button itself. Hope that made sense. Absolutely no new connector was needed.
