Lockers are cool (I’m coming from a triple locked HDJ81) but ATRAC works so well I haven’t been able to justify them. From my research, though, OEM electronic lockers or TJM Pro Lockers are the best choice.
ARB’s and Harrop require wheelspin to engage, TJM/OEM will engage while stationary.

Heh powder coat the springs if you really want!
I don’t think there’s any point to running springs/bars heavier than the non-ahc units - you’d have to add weight well past the payload limit to be in their weight range.
If you don’t run at payload, non-ahc setup on an AHC truck will be bouncy...
Correct. Im running Stock torsion bars / springs from a non-ahc 100.
I ran Kings KTRS79’s but they were insufficient for raising to Hi mode when loaded up.
Non-ahc coils/tbars will give you correct neutral pressure and ability to cycle through L-N-H when you’re at max payload in a 100 series...
Why not stock 16x8’s with a 315/75 if you wanna go 35’s? The OEM wheels are likely higher quality and then you get more sidewall to air down.
I personally run the 285/75/16 G003 (33.2”) and I think they’re perfect. I’m not sure the 35’s would take me much further Offroad and I can still use...
HF2A: Open centre diff + CDL
HF2AV: Center diff equipped with viscous coupling type LSD + CDL
The VC has a threshold where it begins reactively limiting the speed difference between the front and rear axles.
I prefer limited slip or torque biasing centre diffs over open centre diffs. YMMV!
Also interested.... sounds like the cases are fairly similar in the case of the FJ80 (aside length), but that the CDL connector might be different on the 100.
I would also like a viscous coupling t-case and HF2AV's are relatively easy to find. Rebuild the VC and install on a 2006 lx470?
I'm still sitting on some MLED 2.0's that I bought years ago... Has anyone come up with a good solution for weatherproof caps at the back?
I'm also seeing a new Micro D2S - has anyone tried retrofitting these instead of the Mini D2S? Seems like similar output in a much smaller package.
Found this while reading about canister filters on the 100-series.
Why does the 100 have such a convoluted intake pipe? Is it to reduce noise while maintaining flow?
My truck has a trekboxx, fridge, pioneer platform and JB RTT. No armour or winch. I found the Kings springs were inadequate (1.0mpa above max spec) when I loaded up for camping (wouldn’t go to high mode) but otherwise they worked well.
I think there’s only one model for AHC 100’s - KTRS79.
I...
Bump - swapped the wireless door module in the hatch but still getting B1242.
Removed the LED low beams and still getting the same issue.
I’m going to find the troubleshooting steps in the FSM and test for resistance along the harness - the truck had compustar installed (poorly) by the P/O and...
Thanks for the reply! @Windknotz sold me pair and I got them installed last week - this thread can be closed.
Non-ahc springs are perfect for a medium heavy rig!
EDIT:
Nvm, just saw your 2nd post. Will review that module now.
@Bovka did you ever figure this out? I just bought new keys and had them cut, but I can't get the immobiliser to program with Techstream. I have a B1242 error as well, but my key works perfectly fine.
I do have a remote start...
