    Wanted  Coolant union 2f

Looking for a coolant union that comes off the rear of the block. Kind of a 2 piece union that connects the heater hose to the block. Thanks.

    Wanted Rear sill 78 fj40

Oddly, they don't use salt here. Doesn't snow much, and they've got some other reasons. I'm out by the coast and the air carries enough salt to eat anything. I'm pretty conscientious about keeping my rigs clean. The 40 I'm working on had a hack job of a rear sill put in that I just can't deal...

    Wanted  Rear sill 78 fj40

Looking for a rear sill for a 78, thinking that just by chance someone has accidentally ordered 2 of? Ordered wrong year? Who knows? Just figured I'd check here before heading to RealSteel. Thanks, Ryan

Finally to a decent stopping point

Yea. Honestly, I had a pretty good foundation to start with. Engine runs solid. All electrical worked, for the most part. The rust issues were the drivers side floor, both rockers (inner/outter drivers, outer on passenger), inside tub on fender wells, both front fenders were pretty rotten, lower...

Finally to a decent stopping point

Would like to post a pic of my accomplishment and where I am with the '77 40. This site has been of tremendous help. Over the past 8 months I have added power steering, learned to weld, learned auto body, learned paint, and a hell of a bunch of other stuff. But, here I am today... Thanks for...

    Thoughts on raptor liners...

Heard that on the fender support. Fortunately these fenders are new oem, which I did my best to cover in epoxy primer. Eventually, I'm sure the elements will get to the spot welds. I suppose I can handle that again in 40 years. I suppose I could tint the liner, spray it, then spray again with...

I hear ya. Purists probably aren't crazy about power steering, but I like it. Once again, just trying to shoot under the fenders. The rest of the fenders would be straight single stage.

That looks good Irish. I have epoxy primed the fenders and was trying to decide before I threw on color. I have ready that it tends to be a little softer, but I'd rather have a lower profile which it may provide. The lower profile or "build", in my mind may trap less grime in the long haul...

Thanks for your reply. I haven't completely given in to the fiberglass route. After the countless hours of cancer removal, it woulda been much easier. Anyhow, I think I'll give the raptor liner a shot under the fenders. Just hope it tints well enough to match the rest of the sky blue.

    Thoughts on raptor liners...

I think you hit it on the head Johnny. I was kinda asking if you guys had any experience with it. In general I am against the idea of adding any kinda "tough liner" to my cruiser, but I'm also not crazy about painting the inner fender wells, to just have them beat up by the road. So, is it good...

    Thoughts on raptor liners...

I have a question that may be suitable for this forum. First of all, I have completely underestimated the time and patience that is required to be successful at Autobody. I have a 77 fj40 that I have been working on for the past 6-8 months. It's been a helluva learning process. Using this site...
