It was a broken pad. I have some on order, but I used this $2 fix (Found in WM arts & crafts section) until the parts get here. Works great and only 30 seconds to install.
Just now see post. I was able to the part used from someone that was selling a whole steering assembly. I paid a small price for the steering assembly and he just shipped me that small part that I needed.
If you are in a pinch. You can take the ignition switch (Part#84450-60270) off the back...
Tanks for the post.
A couple of weeks ago my son let me know that my brake lights were still on when parked. So I parked the LC and have been driving my TJ until I can get enough time to replace what I thaught was a brake pedal switch. If this is the issue I'll get it working tonight when I...
Thanks,
That was what I was looking for. Now after seeing that, best guess is what TYPM4FUN said and short is occurring in part# 82184-60110. Hopefully I will get time this weekend to look at this.
I was having issues with my rear wiper working only sometimes. Then it started to get worse. Then, the fuse for my brake lights started blowing. I can do without the wiper, but not brake lights. Troubleshooting revealed that there is a short occurring somewhere in the rear hatch. I have...
I actually started having issues with my rear wiper sporadically working, and was willing to accept that, but then I started constatly blowing brake light fuse and traced it as far back as an issue with the wiring harness to go the rear hatch. I disconnect the harness connection which powers...
Thanks for the reply. Do you happen to have any pics? Do I need additional spacers in front to get rid of stinkbug?
What spring load did you choose? I am currently stock, but the next upgrade will probably be a bullbar and winch. I was thinking that if there is "stinkbug" and I chose the...
Ok, seems everyone (OME, Dobisons) is out of some component of their lift, be it springs or shocks etc.....
I have a stock '96 80 with 352K miles on original suspension. To say the least the suspension is shot.
What do ya'll think of this kit? Ironman Nitro Gas 2" Suspension Kit.
I hate the...
I just had this completed tody on my wife's 2017 GX with only 28K. Luckily it was caught by the dealership during the 30K service. Because we are heading out on a 3K round trip.
FYI... It was cover under the factory warranty.
Getting closer.... I need the part that connects the Ignition Lock Cylinder (69057-60030) to the Ignition Switch (84450-60270).
BTW... I like your 80. I have the same, 96 Dark Emerald Pearl - Now approaching 350K
Thanks for your help, and Yes, that was when I still had the engine still running and I was looking for a quicker solution.
The part you are listing is the electrical switch that attaches to the back of the assembly, not the complete assembly.
Use some heavy duty duct tape or gorilla tape to strap a spare key somewhere under the chassis.
I did that under a removable panel for my motorcycle 12 years ago and it is still there.
I have a 1996 FJ80 and the ignition lock cylinder barrel rod has broken. (See Photos)
When looking for the part I see many that are for 100 series and other Toyotas, but not for my 80.
I have found the housing for the lock cylinder barrel rod, Toyota part # 45280-60290. However, I have not...
I need a new "ignition lock cylinder barrel rod" for my 1996 LC.
There are plenty listed for 100 series, but none for my 80 series.
Does anyone know the correct part # or where I can source one online?
Thanks,
Mack
Thanks for the response. But I think what I need is the ignition lock cylinder barrel rod. I just now have to find out how to remove what is left in there And find out correct part #. I see a lot of listings for 100 series but have found none for 80 series lc.
anyway no longer in hurry. Have...
Luckily this happened at home. I would like to know what to order. Haven’t been able to find the part online anywhere.
also, is there a way to operate until I can get replacement? Iam about to put aside and disconnect ignition fuse and battery to turn off. But do not know how to start...
