Bumping this as I JUST stumbled across this part of MUD. Spent 4 years in Morgantown back in early 90’s and been using the forum name WVU fan since the interwebs started. Audi, NASA road racing, Jeeps, Toyota’s. Now living in Colorado and was flying the WV sticker on my (sold) 80 but now my GX 460.
COLOyota EXPO GXOR Colorado has committed as well as 21 other vendors for this rally put on by Rising Sun 4wd club out of Denver area. Should have a very good Lexus contingency as well as overlanding gear, perhaps Toyota corp and lots of vehicles, swap meet , etc. Let me know if you have any...
Dont have them in my GX but I do in my Telluride. Captains are a convenience with young kids and the ability of putting things between the chairs: snack bag, small cooler, road trip games, books, etc. Plus one less seat crack I have to vacuum gold fish crackers out of! can leave the car...
with 2nd and 3rd row down, you can fit the bike or skis. If you find 2nd row captains, then the skis will definitely fit. Not gonna have a protection option on the 2nd row for melting snow or bike mud though. (no all weather mats that long). I always liked how Audi and VW did the ski hole in...
@HVLA - I had the J.T Brooks. Some pros to them and they did deflate to the marked level on the stem - initially. I found the biggest headache is that the locknuts spin easily. Sometimes the vibration of airing down loosened them and sometimes spinning them on the valve stem I would end up...
I'm good with V-8 drone. Even was essential to always press the "S" button on my RS4 (open exhausts flaps which make the exhaust sound louder and better.) Not a fan of the fart cans tho!
Revisiting this thread as hottexhaust has their coupon making it $625 delivered. Thinking of replacing the exhaust on my '12 with the 19544 Magnaflow before I install the remaining skids I just got from the sale at RCI.
@Ohio Nori @BigSwede - still happy with yours?
Don’t hold me to this, but it looks like 20% is the typical Black Friday, Memorial Day, etc. holiday deal. Reviewed my build wish list on my spreadsheet and the best sales deal for RCI is the 20% and for awhile they included a free cat guard. Just interesting that the sale started so early...
Genius! I have been so bugged by the openness under my Victory front strike fender wells. Thought about approaching a body shop or even a hot rod shop to get ideas and along comes @Chompsticks with the solution. Could I get some more pics and did you go with 12x24 sheets?
@xjtwo - if you haven't bought skids already, did you see RCI is doing 20% off now? And if you can swing driving to Loveland to waive shipping fees...
I am going to gamble and wait to see if their Black Friday sale will still be 20% off (or maybe more?)
RCI in Loveland seems to be having deals just about every month . Black Friday with most vendors does help out with less of a hit to the wallet. Not sure what part of CO you are in, but RSG in Denver are good with the GX ad helpful with installs, advice, etc. Also, check out if there are any...
