i think the three on the tree was replaced with a three on the floor mine is a 71 it had three on the tree and a vacume transfercase till i did a chevy swap.I think the key was moved cause of the roll cage,cause mine is still on the other side and it is kinda hard to get to.
i think you should put it in the rear so your able to unlock it when you want
and put a solid locker in the front like a detroit because you can unlock the hubs to disengage for easy steering
dd113 you got it perfect torch,hammer,crowbar,DRINK.take the torch and heat the head side of the shackle bolt for a while it should heat the whole bolt inside of the bushing thus melting it from the inside out that usually works ok
yea ok i was wondering about that.i have 6 degree wedges in my rear axle,that worked out ok now i added longer rear shackles to also help even things out.
i have an edlebrock 600cfm w/spring loaded needles,it does very well exept for extreme uphills it starts to flood if i let off the gas. it runs great rock crawling.
yes it does make a difference i have a 76 on a 71 wipers and bolt holes are not the same but i just found a fiberglass top piece and bolted it right on found a lift hatch in the back of the toyota trails slapped it on----now golden

sounds to me like a bad ground in the light
i have a 71 and every once in a wile it does the same thing
so i go and move the light itself for a better ground to the fender. now i just ran another wire from inside the light,
and grounded it to a bolt on the fender
