Thanks mate! Yes it certainly crossed my mind to go with a stretched chassis but im not too keen on cutting this one as it’s in such great shape and makes things a lot harder here for engineering etc. I think I would go 80 series chassis if I was to stretch one. Maybe on the next build 😆
Hi guys! Has been a while but have pulled this thing out of the back shed and starting to get into it again. Was originally planning on a wagon build but the back half of the troopy was too far gone so it’s now a dual cab. Took 200mm out of the rear doors and squared them up using cuts from...
I I’ve used the original hinge set up and cut/ flipped them so I can acces the bolts through the jam. Straighted up the front of the door using parts of a lhs door and back panel.
Hi guys have had a long hiatus from the forums but thought I’d start a new thread for the new build. After selling my old pride and joy hj45 a few years back when we started a family I picked up a late fj45 troopy rolling body that I stashed away for a while. I’ve always dreamt of having a...
Yeah that's right mate its an Arkana body so basically a troopy body built onto the back of a ute. I actually drove it as a soft top for a few years after I cut the top off but eventually set it up for some weekends away
Digging up an oldie here but I'm about to drill and tap my 12ht manifold for a pyro probe and was going to use this same location. It looks as through I will drill directly through the middle "vane". Anyone else Drilled it in this location? I like the idea of it being there and getting all the...
Awesome mate! good to see another one getting saved. Where abouts in west oz are ya? I'm just in the process of dropping a 12ht in mine too. can't wait
Hi Guys I've just pulled my 2h out of the the 45 and almost ready to drop the 12ht in. I noticed I have a bit of play on the input shaft, both front to back and side to side. Just wondering how much is too much? does it rely on the spigot bearing? Also is the front bearing on the input shaft...
Nice one! I'm going to get the 12ht in and running first then tackle the lockers down the track. Did you use the complete housing on the front? Was trying to research if the centre will work in the 40 housing
