Not the best week. They also replaced my water pump. I looked under the hood tonight and i have a line leaking above the serp belt on the passenger side.
I am thinking it might be a transmission cooler line. But will have to look closer tomorrow.
They advised the followed the service manual, by turning the vavles in addition to the bleeder valve...The bleeder valve being opened did not sound right to me though.
Will not be taking it back. Hopefully, it does not impact the system long term.
I got the LC back from the dealer with more of an explanation. The LC is now only off by a quarter of an inch.
They advised that they followed the service manual, and loosened the to two valves. To do this they opened the bleeder valve. A very small amout of fluid came out the bleeder. About...
LC went back in. I advised to balance the kdss. Received a call from the dealer just now and they advised me the Tech bled the system to level the truck. This does not sound right.
I had my shocks and springs replaced today. I also had the 10mm oem spacers added up front. Now i am leaning about an inch to the right. Taking it back tomorrow to have the dealer inspect the lean and hopefully fix. Other than the springs being installed on the wrong side is there anything else...
I am having the water pump replaced today and a few other parts. The mechanic called and advised my timing chain gasket is leaking. So from reading this thread, as long as the leak is in a low pressure location and not leaking much, i can keep an eye on it until it is worse?
I plan on traveling...
Yes, 123,000 is correct. Dropping it of tomorrow at the dealer. Doing water pump, idler pulley, tensioner, thermostat, serp belt, and alternator.
Thursday will be suspension day. All new oem springs and shocks. Adding the oem spacers in the front as well.
Is this the water pump leaking? This appears to be across from the fan.
I am having the water pump replaced tomorrow, but i am making sure i don't miss anything.
Is there a reason there are two different coils offered for the front right? One is part 48131-60640. This part is less expensive and is only listed for front right. However, part 48131-60D21 is listed for both front sides and is more expensive...
Which part should i be using for my front coils?
This might have been covered. Is there any issue with mixing the old PSF with new M1 ATF? I was thinking of changing the PSF in intervals by using an extractor to pull the fluid that is only in the reservoir, with the engine off. I would leave enough old PSF to ensure air is not introduced.
I do enjoy the ride of the stock shocks. I had the ahc taken out of my 100 series, and replaced it with an ome lift. I ended up regretting it because the ride was harsh. I dont want to repeat that senario unless i add weight.
I am handy with tools as i replaced the starter in my 100 series when...
It does oscillate a bit after some bumps. I also seem to have some noticeable nose dive if i dont brake with care.
I messured from the center hubs and the passenger side is in spec at 20 front and 21 rear. However, the driver side is 19.5 front and 20.5 rear. I may need to find a more level...
