Hi. My 05 LX470 every few hundred miles keeps throwing a code for the right bank catalytic converter. The cat on that side is new but the engine check light persists in coming on. Its clears but comes back in a few hundred miles. The OBD says its "stored". Has anyone experienced anything...
I miss mine too. It was a regular cab with insanely low miles. There was just something about all that mechanical stuff going on that endeared it to me.
Perfect, thank you very much. I just printed it for the file. I did look at a diagram before I ordered the part, but it was different and showed the rear axle as well.
If there were torque values on it, the print was so small my 82 year old eyes couldn't read it. The assist is very much...
Hello out there. I have a 05 LX470. The truck has a towing package (harness, radiator) but no separate frame rail mounted hitch. The mount for a hitch is on the rear crossmember of the frame
behind the access plate on the rear bumper. I need the torque specs for the 4 mounting bolts that...
Hi Robby, congratulations. She's a beauty. I too after advancing years gravitated to a Lexus LX470. I'm loving it. Probably overkill for me, but I have to respect its heritage
and build quality. Mine has a towing package (radiator, harness, plug) but no separate frame mounted hitch. I just...
I've seen worse. dirt and soil but not a lot of rust. It'll clean up nice but there are so many other things to be looking at. See earlier post by "vargoneti". Its extensive but its all there
and a good road map to follow.
Thank you Hester Sue. Nice to be here. Lord i'm 82 and if I listed all the cars i've had it would probably exceed the letter count for replies.
None of them as nice and as Legendary as the Land Cruiser which is the heart of my LX470. I've had plenty of experience with the oldies though...
Now I have heard that before LOL. I have someone I can rely on who indeed knows the system. I'm beyond off-roading - maybe a ride down our beach once in awhile is the only off roading I'll be doing. If it gets too bad, there's always coil overs.
Hello Vlad. Tonino here. She's a beauty. I can't speak for the diesel but I'm sure there are plenty of members out there who can. Judging from the miles on the odometer and what I can see in the photos, the undercarriage looks as good as the body shell - no corrosion on any of the fittings...
And thank you. Its one of those "dream" vehicles for me. Been around them for years but never owned one. We had the oldies in South America when I was a young pup, the six cylinder beauties. Couldn't kill them. Anyone with any kind of mechanical common sense could keep them running. They...
Hi All,
I gave up my 92 Toyota pickup for a 05 Lexus LX470 in very nice unmolested condition. I therefore will be prowling the forums with renewed interest. Thanks to all for being
so unselfish with advice and camaraderie.
Thanks All. I was about to settle for a set of used original 92 vintage alloys but in the end,
I opted for a new set of Ultra Type 5051s. It didn't make good sense to spend more on 25+
year old wheels, non mangnafluxed, no warranty etc. I will live happily ever after. Day before
the wheels...
Pappy - depth is 4 1/2" with a 7" wheel width If I calculated correctly that equates to 13-14mm positive offset.
Going negative 6mm will push the wheel out another 1/4". Thanks for your patience - this is all new to me
and I didn't want to make a mistake. Stock offset is zero so -6mm isn't...
