    1978 and just picked up a rust free tub in Houston. So I have all the best parts from a spare 78, the 75 from Houston and my 78. My buddy is buying it but he lives in nowhere Wyoming.

    There isn't a fuel delivery problem, I cranked it over yesterday not realizing I hadn't connected the fuel line, and I had gas everywhere.

    Are the ebay carbs any good? I'm not sure I can rebuild my carb and make it run right, and if I can get a new one for less than $100, that might be the way to go.

    Finally worked on it yesterday. No gas in the sight glass, gas to the carb, when I split the carb the gasket was in pieces. I'll have to see if I can get a rebuild kit for it.

    PS,, I only run non ethanol premium fuel. And, it runs of the fuel from the catch can.

    My 40 has set for 8-9 months, now I can’t get it to run, other than starting fluid/gas. I thought it might be the fuel pump, but I have plenty of gas to the carb. I’m not too carburetor knowledgeable. Any advice on what an easy fix, or easy to try, so I can get this thing back on the road?

    Fuel pump / carb feeding question..

    I'm having similar issues with my '78. It ran fine when parked last year but won't start now, not getting fuel to the carb. I have fuel to the pump as when I pulled the line at my filter, gas poured out. I have a trollhole carb so no return. If I have fuel to the pump, the pump should be good...

    Marshall, I sent you an email back on April 11, 2016, with pictures of cracks in the diaphragm (not sure the correct term), on a new carb I got from you.
