I have the chinese ones I think you are talking about and I love the one piece look of the light unit, makes the car look a little bit more modern :) Only problems I had were that the halo rings are pretty weak and are barely noticable during the day as a daytime driving light, so I bought some...
@HAAANK the guy I bought them off on eBay is called 'coverup001' (sorry for no link, eBay is blocked here at work haha)... I have been really happy with them so far and a mate has had some for a few years and had no problems with them :)
I finally gave my cruiser a little love :D bought some lambswool seat covers for the front seats and finally decided to tackle the window auto-up mod. Honestly don't know why I put it off for so long! Haha
Cheers for the advice mate :) I still havent tackled this one yet, as it has been easier to keep topping the resevoir back up. Although the leak must not be as bad as it looks, seen as in all this time I have only just made it to the end of a bottle of Lucas Oil haha but yeah I definitely do not...
Oh good find Den! I must have over looked them at bunnings, but that is real easy for me to get hold of. I will definitely give those ones a go if you had success with them :D I have that video saved already, been doing a lot of research in preparation for this job. That other link will be handy...
Re-opening an old thread here  the suggested lock ring pliers by @alia176, are about 1-5/8" jaw opening... Was this more than enough, or are other sizes needed for the multiple lock rings? About to attempt this one and want to make sure I have all the tools first
@thatcabledude yeah I swear I have seen it online for $75 at very most and $20 for the seal... They wanted $40 for the seal too. I need to change the seal And thought I'd do the beating for good measure
Called up my local Toyota the other day to get a price for a t-case rear output bearing and they told me $135, that sounds a bit steep hey..? Told them I'd look around first...
I am considering replacing my transfer case rear output seal, as I have a small leak. Anyone actually done this themselves or have any advice? I have been reading all the threads on it and wouldn't mind trying it and saving myself $400+
Yeah mine is my DD and I like to keep on top of issue as it starts, just heard it can cost about $700 to have the shop sort it out  which I would rather try fix it myself and spend said money on some mods... Not to mention at the same time I have got a rear seal leak on my trans case...
Cheers Tally, I shall give that stuff a go! Wouldn't hurt to try :) and yeah since taking the photos, I gave her a once over with some heavy degreaser and hosed it all out. The leaking seems to be out of where the shaft goes into the steering box and I had a drop forming on the other end of the...
Hey guys, I was wondering if you could help me diagnose a power steering leak..? Have done a fair bit of research into it, but for the life of me can't pin point the leak... It seems to be at the front and back end of the power steering box, possibly leaking seals? Not sure whether to try fix...
I have these off ebay and have been very happy with the look... Although they cost me about $500 Australian... My only complaint was that the halo rings for mine were so dull that you could only see that they were on at night or a cloudy day. So I bought LED cob rings to replace them and have...
@LFD2037 - Apparently we do everything the other way round down under lol haven't you seen that episode of the Simpsons where the all toilets flush the other way..?
