I drove up in one long day. 19.5 hours. Spent 6 days out in the woods. On the way back I split it into 2 days. I was just too tired to make the long haul again.
I wish I could make it. Can’t spare the vacation time this year. I do plan to go again sometime though. It really is an awesome event. I’ll be following the trip report thread. Everyone get plenty of pics.
I was able to order what I think is all the parts for my conversion. Used a combination of Partsouq, McGeorge Toyota and Lexus Parts Now. Hopefully, I won't receive any emails in the next few days about some parts no longer available. Partsouq is on holiday until the 14th, so may be a bit...
Mine is working fine. Used it a good bit yesterday. iPhone X with IOS 12. Vais customer service was very helpful when I was installing mine.
I have the Vais Bluetooth and satellite adapters. They make the factory system tolerable, but every day I’m tempted by the retrofit.

Sweet! I'm really looking forward to HIH8 and running trails with everyone. I've been off-road many times on motorcycle and atv, but this will be the first time on serious trails in a full size vehicle, so super excited. I'm also ready to get out of this heat for a bit. Can't wait for the...
No no no. Not sure why anyone puts white letters out. I see white letters out on a lot of bro jeeps. For the sake of all that's decent, just don't do it.
I take several 8+ hour road trips every year and usually enjoy them. Did an 18.5 hour trip last year, 7 on motorcycle, the rest in the LC. Being single and kids grown probably has something to do with my enjoyment. ;) Satellite radio helps too.
I was planning on driving up in one long haul and finding a place in Silverton, but kinda liking the idea of rolling into town with a group. I’m in Greenville about an hour east of Dallas.
