I took a look at this with @jwould . the 12mm nuts (p/n 90179-08123) on the pulley are definitely tight, and all the belts are new and recently tensioned. Possibly a lose bolt or the seat? Is the seat replaceable or a part of the pump assembly? Are the bolts a part of the seat too?
Sorry, not...
Chewbacca has a good thread detailing numerous types of grease for birfield application.
Chewbacca's Birfield Grease Guide
There's numerous other posts and threads about it.
I'm personally fond of the Valvoline Paladium grease that can be found at NAPA.
A big frustration is searching through the dozens of threads with similar issues only to find that it dies off with no recourse. I hope that this can help someone else in the future.
Solved: Plug Wires were incorrectly placed. Like an idiot and a total noob. After a day under the hood and a late(ish) evening, I guess I wasn't being as attentive as I should've been and missed this twice.
Thanks to everyone for their help and input, and to @Tools R Us for pointing out a...
Good idea to isolate components that might be at fault.
I definitely angered something.
Pulling plug wires 1, 2, 3, 5, and 6 confirmed that these plugs are getting spark, and the dizzy cap only fits in one orientation so I couldn't have botched that!
Codes were cleared with a scangauge and...

Hi,
I spent the weekend doing some PM on my 1997 LX450. It had a P0401 code when I started, was due for new plugs, and had a very leaky VC gasket. I found a torn vacuum line, a likely suspect of the 0401 code so I stopped after the throttle body and...
There's about 44" between the wheel wells. You'd need to use some very thick and stout material to resist deflection which would cause binding and dragging.
I'm 5'10", so I fit just fine. My better half is a bit shorter than I. The LX does not have a rear sub but is something I'd definitely...
I'm devising a new formula to estimate how much time my repair job will be.
(your estimate) x 1.5 + ([the age of the truck] x 2) + ([the number of pieces of hardware you'll be touching] x 6) = more realistic estimate
This is the "As simple as it can be, no questions asked" approach and it looks great. I dig the speed holes.
Yes! Yours is one of the many that I looked at and saved. I love it. My only preference is a flat top all the way across to sleep two. Otherwise very similar. The work surface on top of...
There is some variance in measuring the fasters. Much less so for round hex key fasteners but if you're using hex head bolts just be sure to measure from the bolt shank or that you're measuring across the flats or points of the hex. Measuring washers isn't 100% precise as the washer may not be...
